IF there’s any understanding, you might come to the conclusion that our president is practicing Chinese Catholicism , could be at this time those in Rome are rewriting the Holy Scriptures, like the Chinese Catholics bishops are doing who worship the State image hanging in their building, Time will tell, God will not be mocked.✝️

Considering Biden with cynical detachment, I am reminded of 2 observations by statesman- diplomat Prince C. Maurice de Talleyrand, (1754 - 1838 aka "the lame devil" & "sphinx in a powdered wig") one of history's great political survivors: 1) "In a novel, the author gives the leading character intelligence and distinction. Fate goes to less trouble: mediocrities play a part in great events simply from happening to be there." and 2) “What clever man has ever needed to commit a crime? Crime is the last resort of political half-wits.” Talleyrand, a pragmatist who subscribed to no ideology and no illusions, also observed, from personal experience: "Politics is the systematic cultivation of hatred." "An important art of politicians is to find new names for institutions which under old names have become odious to the public." "Since the masses are always eager to believe something, for their benefit nothing is so easy to arrange as facts." And Talleyrand might well have said, of Pope Francis, "“If we go on explaining we shall cease to understand one another.” or, (though he was speaking ironically of himself, the ex-bishop of Autun): “Wherever there’s trouble, look for a priest.”

I was very disappointed in Mr. McCall’s recent negative comments on Divine Mercy. The same papal authority which approved Fatima also approved Divine Mercy, unless he believes that St. John Paul II was not a valid pope. We certainly believe in God’s justice as well as His Mercy. Yet, it’s not up to Mr. McCall to instruct God how to apply them. Remember the words of Jesus to the good thief, and the parable of the prodigal son.

Please say a prayer for me. The Divine Mercy devotion has unnerved me ever since I first heard of its existence in 2018. 🙂 It troubles me that the Chaplet is recited using a Rosary. Either way, it mustn’t replace the Rosary. 🙏

@@joannametcalf8113 The Rosary is a powerful and important prayer. The essence of the Rosary is meditating on the mysteries as we loving pray the prayers. The original meaning of the beads of the rosary was meant to help us keep count of the prayers and mysteries. As such, the actual beads of rosary is instrument to help us pray. No where in the Divine Mercy Devotion was there any attempt to suppress or substitute the Holy Rosary of the blessed Virgin Mary, in fact, I pray both. The use of the Rosary for the chaplet of the Divine Mercy is for the same purpose to help us keep track of the prayers. Be assured of my prayers.

@giovanniserafino1731 - interestingly enough the recent book by Bishop Athanasius Schneider ‘Credo’ on page 94 #676 about canonization of saints being infallible or ex cathedra statements, it says “No. Acts of canonization guarantee that devotion to a saint is not contrary to the Faith and can be for the spiritual good of the believer. However, the Church has not infallibly proclaimed or formally taught that canonizations of saints are infallible acts…”. In fact it hasn’t been settled definitely. I know many that have an affection for Pope John Paul II, while others do not for many of his modernist ways (e.g. peace prayer in Assisi, kissing the koran. etc.) Yet in the very next number (#677), Saint Philomena was given a proper mass and office by Pope Pius IX in 1855 and was also favored by Popes Leo XIII and Saint Pope Pius X. Yet Pope John XXIII later removed her from the liturgical calendar and Pope John Paul II removed her from the Roman Martyrology which was to suppress the veneration of Saint Philomena. So what is one to do? Divine Mercy vs Saint Philomena are somewhat contradictory whether you believe in Pope John Paul II or not. I say let folks be as to their personal devotions as the church is filled with a treasury of grace filled devotions. Pax Christi.

What is wrong with devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus instead of Divine Mercy devotion ? You should look more in to JP11 and Sister Faustina there is plenty of evidence on Pope JP11 and evidence doubting Sister Faustina's visions
