The fact that Robert Patrick shoots several magazines without blinking once (as its natural reaction for people) not just shows his dedication as an actor, but also that makes him extra creepy on film. Small things like this make this all time action classic.

And you know it always bothers me about that 🙄🤷‍♂️ They used the most wimpy quiet sounding gun shot sound effects for his 9mm 😂 it’s like he went through all that training and effort to not blink and it’s cool but then in the movie it just sounds like a silencer anyway so it’s like oh of course he’s not blinking it doesn’t sound loud 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Lmao

I remember watching this in a packed theater in 1991. The movie was mind blowing and believe me, the way you reacted watching T2 was exactly the way the whole theater reacted back in 1991! Btw, Robert Patrick (who played the T-1000) practiced never blinking while on camera, even when he was firing a gun. That’s one of the reasons why his portrayal was so bone chilling! Thanks for your amazing reactions. Really enjoying reliving these blasts from the pasts!

27:23 they know the bullets won't harm the T-1000, but they will slow him down. it's a stall tactic to give them time to get away. my brother in-law worked as a security guard in the building where they did the special effects for this film. it was done in Montreal, by ILM (Industrial Light and Magic) back in the 80's and 90's. another great reaction to a classic!

I didn't think about this til just now, but Miles Dyson's middle name is Bennett which happens to be the name of one of the villains Arnie fights in 'Commando'. He's played by Vernon Wells (who also played Wez in 'The Road Warrior' and Mr. Igoe in 'Innerspace'). 14:58 Cocking, not reloading. That lever-action shotgun is a classic Winchester designed by John Browning. It's often identified as a model 1887, but in the commentary to T2: Special Edition, James Cameron mentions that it's a 10-gauge, so it might actually be a model 1901 (but don't quote me on that). I call it "the Mare's Leg Deluxe" in reference to the "Mare's Leg" used by Steve McQueen in 'Wanted: Dead or Alive'. It was specifically modified so Arnie could spin-cock it in the style of John Wayne (as per the original 'True Grit') and Chuck Connors (as per 'The Rifleman') or other Western heroes Arnie and James Cameron's generation grew up with. Also, it's not an ordinary lever-action, but a lever-action rolling block, which is why it loads and ejects through the port on top of the receiver (shells are single-loaded down the top into the magazine tube with the chamber open). That's also why the receiver is so compact. 37:09 Cameron also points out in the commentary that a real 40mm grenade has to rotate seven times in-flight to arm itself. It's a safety feature to ensure that the user doesn't blow themself up.

And again at the end when the T-1000 is imitating Sarah and the 'real' Sarah walks up in the background. The practical effects in this movie are insanely good, as well as the actual stunts. These days, they just CGI everything, I mean, look at Terminator Genisys where they had a helicopter chase, and the entire thing was CGI... yet in this movie, they actually had a crazy pilot who flew a chopper under a bridge for close to 100ft, with only 3 feet of clearance above the blades.

32:34 Many scientists and nuclear experts at the time this film came out said that the depiction of a Nuclear Blast close-up and the damage it does to the city and the way it kills people were the most accurate that had been seen in any movie up to that point in history. Really makes you think.

Arnold Schwarzenegger told director James Cameron that he would reprise his role in this film under one condition. That he does not kill. Cameron agreed and we got a t-800 who protects. Yes which is also why he doesn't kill any of the bikers in the beginning.

after seeing this movie 100 times it suddenly hit me. when John was trying to start his motorbike and the cop terminator was walking towards him , why didn't the terminator pull a gun out of his holster and start shooting at john? i'm sure that when the term killed that cop in the beginning of the movie he took all his clothes and his belt with all his gear? or did they leave the gun out of the belt??
@logandarklighter

He only used the cop he killed early on as a template for the clothes. The gun was taken from the cop as was the ammo and is not part of his body. But he used up all the ammo he currently had on trying to shoot John in the hallway and it being blocked by the "Uncle Bob" Terminator. If he could get back to the police cruiser, then presumably he could get some more ammo from wherever they store it in the car. I think the T-1000 did in fact do exactly that before he entered the mental hospital. It's also the reason why he tossed the gun during the chase scene out of the hospital. He used up all the ammo again, and it was just dead weight at that point. He got another gun when he copied (and presumably killed) the motorcycle cop. The BIGGER question is - where'd the T-1000 get the machine gun he was firing from the helicopter when he's chasing down the SWAT van on the Highway? From one of the SWAT guys as he was entering the building? Was it in the helicopter? I suppose we have to assume one or the other since those would be the only two possible places to get it before or during the chase.

For Arnold's first big movie that made him a big time actor react to " Conan The Barbarian " from 1982. You will enjoy the soundtrack..the actors..the story..even with flaws it's the best sword and sorcery movie..no special effects for the most part..just the actors own stunts..you will like the cinematography also.. the other sword and dragon movies ..even some being good..have no comparison in my opinion
