"Come with me if you want to live." Fun Fact: Both Linda Hamilton and the Security guard getting coffee in the institution have twin siblings, so their twins were used in the movie when both Sarah and the guard were on screen with their duplicates. No camera tricks needed for those scenes. Sadly, Leslie Hamilton Gearren passed away in 2020 from cancer, but while not officially an actress and was a nurse in real life, she had a pretty neat screen presence in one of the greatest movies ever! Also, you have to give a lot of credit to Robert Patrick, his performance made the T-1000 an intimidating villain despite being half of Arnold Schwarzenegger's size.

Joe Morton also made a brief cameo in Godzilla: King of the Monsters as the scientist character (cannot remember the name right now) that was prominent in Kong: Skull Island. And just so happens that Joe Morton was close enough to the right age to be the proper continuation of that character. Basically - they needed an older version of that character in the small group of Monarch Scientists who was watching Mothra spread her wings from beneath the Waterfall. He's the one who is most visibly moved by the beauty of her - with a big old smile on his face.

@@Serai3 It's because they couldn't have the bike go faster because it didn't work well with the shot. The man cannot catch one of those things at full-throttle. Absolute max human speed is maybe 30mph. Now, one WOULD expect a humanoid machine to be somewhat faster, but probably even a lightly-built terminator could only manage 40mph. T-1000, on the other hand, has no moving parts...so it's purely a mass/force ratio, because there are no mechanics. It's actually all fluid-dynamics. In its humanoid shape, it could maybe hit 50 or 60mph. But if it changed to something that serves no purpose but maximum speed, It could probably turn into the ultimate ball/wheel and hit 150mph easy. And it would have unmatched agility on top of that. Obviously, it's just a movie, and the whole point of the scene is to show that the T-1000 is almost impossible to escape from. Hence the illusion of the shot that the kid is on a bike and he's still keeping up with the kid. But in reality, the bike isn't going very fast at all, nothing in the shot, is. That doesn't take away from Robert Patrick's dedication or skills, but it's not some incredible achievement.

Why do people continue to believe CG didn’t exist, it did, a decade prior, it was just difficult and costly. What T2 DID do was change the dynamics, and cost effectiveness, of CG thanks to ILM. The scene in Jurassic Park where T-Rex eats the lawyer out of the outhouse, that was the T1000, the data was reused for that scene. Source: the ILM special on D+, the person that did it describes it. Side note: Pixar was a computer first, developed at ILM, not a company.

Fun fact: once in a college class (I think a class about semiotics or post-modern cinema or something) our teacher made everyone say what was their favorite movie. Everyone tried to say something fancy or very cult. I just said f*ck it, "Terminator 2" everyone laughed but I still don't care. The arc every one of the characters go through is perfect: John learn to be less of a brat and be more mature, Sarah let's go of her insane doomsday obsession and regains her humanity and finally a machine actually learns what to have humanity is. Then, the action is perfect, the acting is perfect, casting, the effects ah god I love this movie so much

Why do people in movies always stop to look behind them when they're being chased? The CHEER that went up in the audience when Sarah beat Bottles's head in was so gratifying. Every woman there; we ALL knew what she was feeling. It was like Sarah was taking revenge for all of us. So. Fucking. Satisfying. Did you notice how Future John, in the prologue, actually moved like the Terminator? He does the same thing Arnold does in the role, moving his eyes before he moves his head. It was a great little character beat, showing how deeply the machine had influenced John even in the short time they knew each other. The difference between the first film and the second was the budget. The first film was made when Cameron was working for Roger Corman, the king of the slap-dash action indies. It was basically a Corman cheapie that happened to hit at the right moment and went huge. The second one was made after Aliens and The Abyss. Cameron had become a big-name director by then, and T2 was the first film whose budget crossed the $100M mark. There was all the money he needed to make the sequel he wanted, and it shows on the screen. (Some said he had too much money, which manifested in things that seemed unnecessary, like seeing how the T-800 arrived in that bubble of energy. Yeah, cool, but did we really need that?) So of course this film is more technically impressive than the first, but just as dramatically satisfying. Gods, Avatar. I heard someone describe it as "Ferngully In Space", a very apt description. By the way, Cameron did come back for another one. Terminator: Dark Fate was his continuation of the story, dumping everything that had been done after T2 (none of which he was involved with). It's an interesting film. You should check it out.

I love the fact that in the Galleria scene, Robert Patrick (who played the t1000) had been training in prep for this scene, 1 to run without any expression or apparent breathing, and 2 That he was so fast, that he astonished everyone on set, including James Cameron the first day of the motorcycle escape by catching 'John' on the bike, scarily fast. They had to reset the scene in fact to have 'john' further away at the beginning. CLASSIC

Fun fact: The actor for the T-1000 trained himself to run that fast while taking shallow breaths through his nose (or not breathing at all) to maintain the illusion that the was a machine. He was so good at it that he outran the moped and they had to reshoot it with him purposefully running slower. The man was a beast

The directors cut is actually fantastic in this. Deleted scenes show that the T-1000 took a buttload of damage when it got frozen and was losing it's ability to shape shift. John actually realizes Sarah isn't his mother because of a glitch where it didn't/wasn't able to change its leg to match the rest.

So a little fun trivia fact about this movie. There are two sets of twins used for filming, specifically for when the T-1000 was impersonating people. The first set was the ginger Police officer in the Hospital that was getting coffee and got stabbed in the eye by the T-1000 impersonating him. First set of twins, Second set was Sarah Connor herself. Linda Hamilton also has an identical twin, so when the T-1000 impersonates her at the end, they brought in Linda's twin to play herself. Handy and cost saving for filming, thats for sure

1. Linda Hamilton must have been getting "Ah-nold time" to get ripped like that 2. My guess is that stove is hot🧐 3. We have limited AI now, so does China.😱😱 4. Arnold did many of his own stunts in this movie, including riding the motorcycle. At one point he was injured, and they had to stop production for a couple of weeks so he could recover. 5. Arnold is not left-handed, but the way he works that shotgun is impressive😎 6. GOOF: Enrique's dogs don't respond to "Uncle Bob" as a Terminator. 7. "I need a vacation" was ad lib. 8. This is the action movie GOAT.
