Terra Invicta had a huge patch and I would love to finish a playthrough of this, so I am starting the weeknight streams again. I know the time is awkward for most people. Also going to try co-streaming this to / phrosphor
Special thanks to all my supporters on Ko-Fi/KZfaq!

Not a game I can play myself, I don't have the time to dedicate to learning it, but I love watching you play it.

Honestly I rely on chat to keep me right on this one, it's hard to keep everything happening in your head altogether.

Best starting Councillors: Kingpin and Politician. The Kingpin is essential for stealing orgs since org stealing is the most important strategy at the start.

Yeah I am feeling this now, I really need orgs and the AI somehow as ALL of them.

@@Phrosphor Yes, it is best to also hire at least a second councilor who can steal orgs as the next step. Without org stealing, I see no way to get ahead of the competition. As you rightly say, I also share the opinion that the AI somehow manages to get ALL orgs. And amazingly expensive ones, too.

Wonder what you think about the replayability of this game. From the outside, seems like one has to kinda do the same thing each time.

I don't know how different this will be to playthrough one. My main enjoyment of this game is the interaction from the community. With them naming my agents and ships and the narrative that comes around that. When Mia died in campaign one it was a huge event and people still talk about it.

While this looks interesting, the lax approach to using the agents seems like it is actually kinda killing your chances here? Based on some of the stream comments, it sounds like there's more that can be done here that I'm not seeing from your playing it. I'm all for watching someone have fun, but I'd like to see them try to win at the same time. I'd like to be more interested in this, but if you're going to just essentially rename stuff from a generator or make memes with the chat I think I'll be passing on your channel. That, or I'll just google the mechanics and play it myself rather than enjoy it here on your channel. I really enjoyed a lot of your content before, but they were more gameplay and mechanics focused even if streams vs recordings. This one feels pretty detached from everything, and so does my interest as a result.

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy this. Part of the way Terra invicta works is a bit of a slow boil at the start of the game while you claim regions and countries with your agents. I might not have explained it well but there are harsh penalties for expanding without thought and the currencies used for expanding are in short supply at the start of the game. My goal here is to claim Australia/NZ, Singapore, Japan and Kazakstan. I *could* go hog wild and grab other locations but you really need to grab developed nations with your early Control Points or you are causing yourself huge problems for the late game. The reason it feels like I am not doing a lot is that I need to build public opinion to take control of a developed nation like Japan, and that takes time and investment, something that only one of my agents can do. It means my other agents are mostly idle at the moment, and whilst I could search for enemy agents, I don't have an agent who can assassinate them until I unlock the tech I am researching at the moment. Once we build public opinion, get Japan, secure Australia and get more Orgs under our control our options will open up and we can start developing our space presence. I am pushing Mission Control in all our controlled spaces so that we can have a larger fleet when the time comes, there is a lot of long term investment in this game. I will take it under advisement that I need to explain what I am doing a little more with TI rather than assuming viewers understand my process!

@@Phrosphor I appreciate the response! I wanted to reiterate that I don't want my feedback to come across too harshly or abrasive. Really love your stuff, I keep getting distracted at work because I play your Nebulous videos on my other monitors :D As feedback for TI, and please absolutely correct me if I have the wrong take here, but it looked like many of the assignments don't actually have a base/default cost? They only cost if you invest additionally it appears, so when i saw that and chat mention that you could be using agents to do free actions such as survilleance, etc etc, I got the sense that your focus for this content had become more naming things and meme'ign with chat. Which again, there isn't anything wrong or bad about that content, but it's not something I'd consider watching on YT again. I personally really enjoy when you take some (not all of course!) time to explain the pro/con/rationale of why this or that. Spreading that throughout your play keeps me invested as I keep picking up tidbits that either a) encourage me to pick up the game myself or b) give me more context to understand the game and enjoy your content more, therein keeping me hooked for future episodes. I think the best example of this was your most recent Highfleet (i forget the exact name) campaign. It was the third or second iteration of a style of play, and even though I didn't see those series, the way you carried the learnings, explanations, and choices forward got me really engaged and I loved that series. I am of course only a single voice though, so don't hinge it all on me. :) Love your stuff Phro, looking forward to the next TI episode to learn more from you. Also, can't wait to see you do more Starsector, but I'll definitely have lots of opinions to share in those comments. Played that one ad nauseam.
