luckily it was also released uncensored and it was quite what I expected. shame it only got 1 season the manga kicks ass.

What I like about this series along with killing bites is that we get tons of information on the animals used as background information. A little service for animal lovers like myself.

True but some things make no sense. The mantis shrimp dude for example. Shouldnt his forearm bend the opposite way to copy the "punch" of this animal? Thrusting punch can never match it.

@@mordredvonumbra154 yeah mantis shrimp is know for two things (world records actually) most complex eyes in the world and the fastest punch in the world. They give this thing to a pro boxer and the only advantage he gets out of it is improved eyesight. THAT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE TO ME!!! Pistol shrimp cracks open oysters to eat! It can create little air pockets with each punch! That little click you hear when it throws a punch is a miniature Sonic boom! You scale that kind of power to human size, it can level a fucking a mountain!!! SO WHY THE HELL DID THEY NOT DO THAT?! Same with the killer whale guy. They only focused on sonar. Those things are called KILLER whales for a reason. He should've been the biggest guy there. And I bet ten bucks most of the stronger double digit rankers were killed during the Terraformars invasion.

@Furion Max Well I must agree with you that a human-sized mantis shrimp punch can even level a city block but a pistol shrimp uses air to shoot, even if you have a bigger size it just only increases for only hundreds times.

Why first season and OVA's did perfect job? First of all you would never imagine just by reading manga that the plot where people go to Mars to fight cockroaches by turning themselves into animal hybrids could be taken seriously, honestly it is hard to imagine myself being taken seriously while recommending this to someone for that reason. And yet the series are really breathtaking when you watch it for the first time, the intrigue does everything, the fight scenes are not even that great, but still it keeps you on the edge the whole time... There is no season 2, I just cannot acknowledge it.

From a strategic approach the manga is beautiful, the characters are still as lively as they were in season 1. Infact we get a look into more interesting characters like #2 of the Mars ranking. The manga keeps me at the tip of my toes everytime and it has key features that make a better story. I understand why people don't like the rest of the manga though, some characters weren't exactly like they were before, like Sanjo. But everyone else like Keiji, Hizamaru, and Michelle all keep their lovable characteristics that made them special while also progressing the plot. Hopefully when the manga continues (if it ever will) we will get a satisfying conclusion that wraps everything up in a way that makes sense and is still satisfying and keeps true to the anime's charm.
