Simulating a Beach for 30 Days

For the past 30 days, I built a custom Beach Ecosystem Terrarium from scratch in my bedroom! Over the month animals such as hermit crabs, gobies, snails, shrimp, and much more were added. I even simulated natural disasters to see how the seaside environment would respond. Thanks for watching, comment any ideas you'd like to see me do below!

The animals at the end are my favorite! I hope you guys liked this video, thanks for watching Also for anyone looking to do something similar to this video, here is some stuff you need to know. You need a heat lamp, humidifier, and freshwater container for the hermit crabs. You also need a water filter, water heater, and proper lighting for the coral and ocean animals. If you’re going to add fish make sure to cycle the water. I had all of this stuff, I just removed most of it while recording as it was either sitting on the cover for the tank which prevented me from getting shots, or it didn't fit as part of the beach 👍

I really love how "Simulating a X for X days" has somehow become a thing. It's something very difficult to maintain so you won't expect it to be a trend. But it does. Absolutely amazing.

ecosystem videos are always nice, and this one reminded me of the hermit crabs i used to have when i was younger (8 or smth). im 14 now and it brings back nice memories :3 keep up the good work, a flowing river ecosystem would be really cool maybe

@@Brydav_Massbear did we all have hermit crabs? when i was 6 ( i am 12 now) i had 3 hermit crabs, 2 males and one female after having them for a few days i found a dead male and 2 shells together, then after a few months i found a bunch of shell-less crabs (i had seen eggs but thought it was some shit also saw some hatch on my birthday so i share a birthday with a bunch of crabs) and i brought some shells from the beach that should last them to adulthood, all different sizes, after a while my mum said how it happened and 7 year old me was horrified

This was probably recorded within a few days and edited to look like it was done over a month. There's no way the fish would have survived a month in that tiny amount of water.

It’s pretty abusive, honestly. Those are sand-sifting diamond gobies, and they often starve in large 75+ gallon established reef tanks. Also, those salinity swings would be brutal for them.

Hey few things id change,i would move the hermit crabs to their own enclosure,they need both Salt and fresh Water to survive you could swamp them for actual crabs that can go both underwater and on land
