Terralith is a datapack that takes Minecraft 1.18's Caves and Cliffs update, and turns it up to eleven. Download Terralith here: www.planetmine...
Terralith adds over 85 biomes, as well as updating almost every vanilla biome with new and improved features. It also includes tons of completely new terrain types - canyons, shattered biomes, floating islands, deep ocean trenches and much, much more.

I never seen nothing of such beauty in minecraft. I downloaded Terralith yesterday and launched a new world on my homebrew modpack. And my jaw just dropped. In game it is nothing like on video. It is just purely incredible. I was hoping to find a good spot, build a base and play a bit of survival, but instead i was just lost for 7 hours flying around and simply appritiating the views. It returned to me all my memories about my hicking and mountain skiing experiences. And returned all those childhood emotions of just exploring the world (no matter in a game, in a book or outside). And all those 7 hours passed in a blink of an eye, i came back to reality only when the sun started to shine through my curtains. Just brilliant, nothing else to say. BEST mod / datapack i ever saw actually in any game. Well, at least no other mod in any game ever gave me such feelings and emotions just through viewing the terrain, just through feeling that it all was generated from scratch and not made by hand. I am stiil actually feeling it. It is a great feeling, thank you, Stardust Labs, for making this kind of things possible. btw, I was using a Distant Horizons mod (and absolutely reccomend it with Terralith, they go EXTRA nice together) + Oh The Biomes You Will Go (which do generate perfectly good with Terralith) + 330 other mods

Looking good! I can attest to this being a great datapack! It's a must-have when basic MC terrain just isn't cutting it for you anymore. Even better than Caves and Cliffs!

This data pack is super cool and all but if 1.18 was like this, the game would look complicated, mojang said they are trying to keep minecraft as simple as possible.

I do agree that Minecraft shouldn't necessarily implement the complexity that this datapack introduces, but they seriously need to work to add more biomes and better the ones that exist. Caves and Cliff's and the Wild Update are a great start... Hopefully it continues.

Looks amazing! my only criticism is that with all the new biomes, especially the forest types, it can sometimes be hard to find a clear open space to build, like a plains biome.

I can’t recall the name but there’s a popular modpack that I believe always gets updated to the newest versions and is super cool. But you’re right, how awesome would it be to have those sounds automatically in the datapack!

There's Dynamic Surroundings, which is amazing for that, though I don't know if it's on 1.18 already (Forge would need to be in 1.18 too, so idk)

@@M0D776 Forge has been on 1.18 vor a few weeks almost, but Dynamic Surroundings is still on 1.12. Ive spent the past 6 months on the lookout for something like Dynamic Surroundings or Atmos, but couldnt find anythinf :( closest I got was sound physics and presence footsteps (the latter being fabric exclusive iirc)

they used the standard (updated v1 18) generation 1 18, and improved it. in other words, the datapack was created using standard generation [translated]

I checked this out in a creative world a while back, and I have to say; You guys NEED to make a full mod. It doesn't need new mobs, or dimensions, or even items, just new blocks, that use this generation to its fullest. I think that if each incredible color palette you use in this mod, each new biome had new blocks, new logs, new leaf types, and you could build with any of these colors in any part of the world, it would be the best minecraft experience I could think of. But for now, I'm gonna go look for a Mirage Isles with Lush Caves beneath it! Great work on this incredible generation Datapack!

I think the majority of the beauty is in that no mods are used. As someone who runs a server, being able to make a Terralith dimension will be amazing. But my mc friends don't know how to install mods so datapacks are the way for me.

@@MeloniestNeon it is a mod right now for fabric. As for new blocks, that might be added in 1.19. Could see mojang adding support for custom blocks and items. They already added custom biomes. Who knows?

This is something great! I mean I was about 1.18 update thing like 'well, that's pretty great generation' but THIS is next level. 2:03 was mind blowing, Siberian forest is a piece of art and everything is more than just great! Incredible. I remember being blown away by the 1.17 version, so this is the fully realized version for 1.18's release? My favorite addition from 1.17's was the new cave biomes. Two is great, more is better!

Went and downloaded this datapack myself, wasn't disappointed. It looks modded, but feels vanilla at the same time and you are more tempted to explore rather than settling down in a single biome.

Two questions: 1) Does this work with normal structure generation, do villages etc. still spawn? 2) How do you get different colour leaves with a datapack? That looks amazing!

I know this reply is late, normal structures still spawn, and since the datapack adds on to the base game, once you spawn in a new world, the biomes with those leaves will have those various colors even without a texture or resouce pack.
