Abigail is a minion in Terraria added by the Terraria x Don't Starve Together update. It can be acquired right at the beginning of the game but it can get better as you progress through the game. Will it be able to defeat the Moon Lord? Keep watching to find out :)

So this is actually Whip Run with Abigail just chilling there. Perfect example, look at the Queen Bee fight, Abigail hit maybe 4 times, while you Whipped the boss to death.

My favourite summon weapon is definitely the Blade Staff. Whips are fine, I guess. I've never actually used one, but if the whips are too strong, what's even the point of using the summoned being? Queen Bee is especially annoying because it moves so much, so I can understand it if he wants to use the whip instead.

@@r4nd0mguy99 Yeah my absolute favourite is the blade staff aswell, the consistent damage is so nice. Plus the ring of blades looks cool. And yea i totally understand the point that Queen Bee moves alot, but if the video title is "Abigail Only" and then you proceed to use Whips for 98% of the damage done, with 2% Abigail, that is NOT "Abigail Only" Right ? :D Kinda like saying "Can you survive by breathing Argon Only" and then you proceed to just breathe normal air, which has trace amounts of Argon, around 1% or something.

@@_Lunaria my favorite summon personally Is the Stardust Cell Staff It's DPS Is ignored because woo dragon very cool, but It Is a powerhouse when used with the right whip And i also get why he used a whip for queen bee, but yeah saying "Abigail only" Is kinda dumb since Abigail didn't do much in terms of damage. I think It would've been fairer if he used a sentry instead of whips for self defense, because they're slower than whips

Abigail’s flower is unironically one of the most overpowered weapons in the game. Edit: I've already said this in the replies, but to expect people to read through them is a bit unreasonable. Basically, yes, I know my comment is wrong; it has a bit more sustain than other minions, sure, but at literally every stage you can run it there's at least one better option available to you.

A very useful tip for summoners Upgrade your whips as much as possible and also Have multiple whips You might ask why still use the snapthorn when spinal tap is better Well then the summon tag dmg actually stacks with multiple whips Leather whip+Snapthorn=10 summon tag which is higher than durrendal Also also get sharpening station When u arent using ur whip and solely depending on your minion then when you hold a melee weapon your summon benefets from the sharpening station this could usefull while farming alot of weak enemies like bloodmoon(Just hold a pickaxe cause they count as melee weapons)

You could also stack the whip buffs of snapthorn, durendal and dark harvest then switch to a high base damage whip for massive dps.

More like Abigail "only" run... It's mostly whips doing the work because Abigail's minion AI and damage is shit.

And the proof of that is in the video itself: when fighting the vortex pillar, Abigail on its own ON A STATIONARY ENEMY does ~450 DPS, while in a normal fight the DPS counter shows ~2000. Abigail is a weak summon, period.

@@toastybreade613 Slowness is just another reason why she's a bad summon. Unless you mean attack speed- which she also sucks at. It might be an okay early- game summon, but other than that it's not useful at all. The damage output of 450 DPS would be fine for like early hard mode, but it's the highest her DPS gets. Kinda sucks for an interesting summon.

small note, just one death is enough, the flowers just grow within a 10 block radius around the tombstones on grass with a minimal distance between the flowers (which I forgot) but from what I can tell you mostly can do abigail only (altho I did use whips so maybe not so much)

I really like this video, I like to have her as minion and I'm intrigued by the story behind the item. Even if it's a ghost, I found it relaxing to have her around, and the noises she does makes me feel not so lonely while mining and exploring.

The pumpkin moon arena thing you made can be improved by having conveyors funnel all the drops to the center of the arena to make for easy pickup. Its also useful because it funnels all the little red heart things to one spot and can be a good way to heal up in a hurry

it's impossible to deal enough damage with abigail to the bosses without a whip, im doing this in master mode rn and she cant catch up to the eye of cthulu or any early game boss that's fast. you are forced to use whips so you can make it through the boss fight without turning to day. now im stuck on wall of flesh simply because the lack of defense and dodging abilities suck

@@Akymma tested with the best possible kit you could get in prehardmode without beating a boss. it is impossible without whips ngl abigail would target whatever she wanted, and when i used a leather whip to only make her target the eye while i dodged the entire time she only dished out 2000hp damage halfway through hell on a large world. it's impossible

I... forgot... about... Abigail... and I just started a summoner run a few days ago, where I struggled with a freakin FINCH STAFF in a blood moon to grind out the Vampire Frog Staff. At least I had a good setup to safely kill the blood moon fishing mobs but still, wish I didn't forget about this.

Just make a box in the ocean with a few wholes and platforms you can shoot stuff through and cast a rod through, the mobs will be stuck there until you decide to kill them and you can fish enemies up all night

@@ppman698 my setup was pretty automatic, it was a classic volcano trap but the spot I stood was over a man made lake with two pools of lava walled off next to me. I’d fish up an enemy, they’d scale the platforms on the wall to either lava chamber, then hoik themselves into it. They can’t get away, I can collect the look, and farm the blood moon above all without moving an inch

Vanilla plantera is really easy to roll around her really close in a small space so she doesn't have speed, you just literally circle her so she doesn't move and only spins in her place

What’s the point of crafting the white horseshoe balloon if the wings already grant fall damage immunity? Isn’t that just making reforging it more expensive? Edit: All these people in the replies just blatantly missing the point. There’s no reason to upgrade the bottle+balloon combos to horseshoe balloons.

Whips were like 80%-90% of his damage on any boss that moves, did you even see her hitting queen bee? Or the wall? She kept changing targets and not attacking., you can tell Abigail was carried hard by whips

@@rougex15 Did you even pay attention? The whip may have been increasing her damage but the role was purely support and Abbys inherent strength was the main contributor. Trust me, I've seen whips in action. You can't get anywhere near the same results with, say, a finch or vampire frog.

It feels a bit cheaty using whips too, very much goes against the title of using Abigail *only*. Perhaps a more appropriate title would be something like "how strong can Abigail get in terraria 1.4.3?"

Nah, the entire purpose of whips is to help the minion, not to be a main source of damage. And in this run especially whips didn't do much damage on their own, since he used the Firecracker for most of HM.

@@HumanoidDerpling at a lot of stages of the game whips do more damage than summons. Plus the firecracker is one of the best whips so this isn’t the best argument to go with

@@mcedge3368 That was changed in one of the 1.4. something updates. Summons and whips are both extremely important in the updated version especially with the sanguine and blade staff. This run was pretty much carried by whips though since the problem with Abigail is that it stops to attack, so it cant dish out any reasonable amount of damage against mobile bosses like Duke Fishron (even against the moonlord it kinda struggled if you used only Abigail)

plus daytime eol is a bad example since defense doesnt matter there, you get one shot regardless. for plantera/mechs/golem other armors are better

I played through an expert playthrough for the first time, after taking a several month break. About pre mech boss, after I had given up summoner because of how hard it was pre hard mode, I accidentally found this.

I personally feel like whips should be allowed in these kinda runs but like one or two stages back. Like once you beat the mechs with spinal you can use the fire one and then once you beat plantera you can get durrendal if you want
