Honestly the other reviewers are bashing on it too much. Like ok so what they didn't update the pencil port, that's why the price is cheaper compared to the other models. For me using the 1st gen is still an enjoyable experience. It's not like they took that part out and the ipad itself performs really well!

@@djpandaw1300 yeah that's the problem with most tech reviewers. From their perspective it's crap. But they only represent 5% of the market at most. The rest of of are normal users who often don't need or want the bleeding edge of tech.

That's the perfect iPad for me. I hate all the other reviews smashing it not having in mind that not all the people change their devices year to year. The last iPad I bought was an iPad Air 2 in 2014. And I'm still writing this comment on it, because my main purpose of it's existence was watching KZfaq and Netflix. Sometimes some web browsing and professionally I used it for Teams calls and also for apps for live sound mixing consoles like A&H dLive or SQ. I did not need anything else, and I would continue to use it if the battery would not become unreliable. My brother bought an iPad Air with the M1 chip and I loved it but could not justify the price on such low usage and since I know I won't use the Apple Pencil at all the 10th gen is perfect for my upgrade as it looks the same as the Air (which I love the look over the 9th gen by a huge mile) and the camera in the middle is a big deal for me for the Teams meetings as I will look more naturally. So yeah I do get it in the year by year comparison it's a weird device, but for me it just ticks every single thing for a lower price than the Air. Keep in mind I used the 2014 till now with no issues for my usage so even if I get 6 years out of the 10th gen that's ok for me. So IMO there is a market for this product. I know I will enjoy it! And I also got the blue it looks sick! Can't wait for it to arrive tomorrow! Peace!

I’m right there with you. I use it for entertainment purposes and light casual gaming. All those extra features are nice, sure, but the price isn’t worth something used casually. I got my Apple Pencil discounted from Best Buy so I didn’t spend so much on it either.

Nice and honest review. I just bought an iPad 10th gen and I love it. Everyone is complaining of the dongle and the gen 1 Apple Pencil. Instead of complaining I bought the Logitech Crayon as you did and problem solved.

At first I thought of just buying the 9th gen, but over time the design of this new gen tempted me... It will be a major upgrade for me since I'm planning to switch from my 7th gen.

Yep, I was originally going to get the iPad 9 but the new design and the color really tempted me and it worked… This was a huge upgrade from me cause I had the iPad 6th gen. I have a really good experience with it.

This is probably the best review of this IPad I have found yet. Thank you for pointing out the IPads actually strengths! And yes pointing out the negative however its not a dal breaker by a means. I am not the type of person to use an Apple Pencil to be honest so most of the negative do not affect me. I currently work with patient’s all day along with going to Nursing school and this IPad is very useful for this1 I purchased a Bluetooth keyboard and this unlocked tons of possibility this IPad has. After upgrading from an IPad 6th Gen i am very happy with this new IPad!

Thank you for this, I’m kinda overwhelmed which iPad to buy because of some reviews and comments (and I’m on a budget at the same time). I just actually don’t want to buy this because of the pencil, but now, I’ll give this logitech crayon a check, maybe I’ll buy the 9th or this 10th gen instead. Btw, I love stranger things too!

I still do believe that an iPad Air 4 ist the better option. It has the identical design, the same chip, same store options, the better display and it’s often time in the same price range. The benefits of the Air 4, that you can use the second gen Apple Pencil and the laminated display

This is the configuration of 10th... Its no issue /fault.. When u horizontally hold the pad then sounds only come from lower zone so dont block that!

Personally I think the apple pencil problem is not that big of a problem because it was already dangerous to have the pencil hanging from the charging port and the apple pencil lasts around 3 days before you need to charge it again, you can also just get a case that holds your apple pencil for you if you care that much.
