I can't believe that after this many years now I can still be brought to tears over Steve's death from such a freak accident. Hearing Bindi talk about her dad, she's 17 now and while she has obviously grown up physically, she was already grown up at the young age of 8. I've watched her 1st appearance on DWTS along with her partner Derek Hough over and over. She offered him the chance to pet the young alligator, which he wasn't so sure about, and what he says to her after their dance that night was so heart warming, I was once again brought to tears.

+survivrs Great Comment! I feel absolutely the same way. (*sniff sniff*) Bindi is such a Wonderful Personification of Her Father. Terri must be SO Proud! :)

MiAlma999 Did you see last night's episode? She and Derek danced to AC/DC. When she talked about dancing around with her dad to that song, the camera went to Terri and her tears were really welling up. I just want to hug them all. We all know what a cool guy Steve was, but for him to be my husband or the father of my children, I can't imagine that loss. Someday I know that will happen but hopefully my kids will be older than I was when I lost my dad. I was an adult but my boys were 6 and 4 at the time. They can't even remember the times they had with my dad when I would take them to the farm one day a week so that they could know their grandparents. Now I have a granddaughter and it's an 8 hour trip to see her, but we are doing well enough that we can come up with gas money to see them every few months. I want her to know us and love us as much as we love her. Damn it, now I'm crying again!

Homeschooling's value depends upon who is doing the schooling. It's detriment is that excellent students are taken from the public school system and that those homeschooled aren't always well socialized with others. She definitely had excellent parenting and that is the key to everything.
@blinkandrhcp4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, many homeschoolers here are taken from public school due to the parents' refusal to accept basic science. They find public education too "liberal" in teaching facts such as evolution and climate change, topics which the Irwin's are actually staunch supporters of. To say their homeschooling was based on the same principles for many in the US would be aggressively wrong.
@allisonyoung93714 жыл бұрын
@@blinkandrhcp The only US homeschooling families I know are parents who are incompetent & believe solely in creationism. They refuse to teach basic science & skip whatever offends them. Bindi's amazing because her parents raised her in a way very few are raised. Kind, patient, loving, intelligent people. Of course their children turned out the same.

I still cry over the loss of Steve Irwin. He was a huge part of my childhood. He and Terri both made me so excited to learn as much about animals as I could

What an articulate little girl she was. Terri has been amazing, bringing up their two children alone, to be such well adjusted adults since Steve’s death.

I know we all love Steve and the kids, Terri has been the Pillar of Strength for her and those two amazing kids. Her love and stability has kept their family together and able to move on without Steve. I think he is close with them and they feel his presence very strongly.

Such an incredible family. This little girl has to be the most adorable, well spoken child I have ever seen. It's hard to believe she had just lost her father 3 months prior to appearing on this show 💔. Terry did a wonderful job raising both of her children. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been carrying on after losing the love of her life. I love the way she handled herself in subsequent interviews. Polite yet protective of her loved ones.

I never knew Terri was American. But I think the main focus here is Bindi, that is what parenting done right looks like. So mature. So respectful, something completely missing in today's children

I just rewatched this after her pregnancy announcement today! Time flies and I'm extremely happy for her and her husband!

What an absolute doll Bindi is. So smart and sweet. Her brother seems like a great kid too. Well done, Terri.

As an Australian i miss Steve and still cry when i see his vids. The day he passed was my sons bday, he had been even given crocodile hunter bday cards, and on his way home from the beach he saw a snake and mimicked what Steve would say! We were devastated that he had passed. Such a massive loss for all human kind. He was such an amazing person with an amazing big heart for all that inhabit this planet. So very much missed. So proud of his kids Bindi and Robert and wife Terri.

Best child interview. Bindi is talented & entertaining, not to mention smart. Can't wait to check out her other interviews, I'm curious as to why she is endorsing Sea World especially with all the whale treatment controversy.

8:00 I love how this little girl makes a joke that goes over the head of a grown man. So clever. And to this day has stuck to her promise of dedicating her life to preserving wildlife. Truly amazing family.
