I think the bald tyres on some of the vehicles may have contributed to the accidents

I’m surprised so many cars were painted mauve or pink or purple back then.

Same at 8:40, captioned "1928" when there is a crashed 50s style hot rod and a 50s car in the background.

The colorizing is a bit off. There were no purple Packards, Plymouths or Chevies from the factory in the 40's and 50's unless they were customized and the cars shown weren't customized.

I took pics of a lot of wrecks I came upon as a tow truck driver. When I was young I took quite a few I wish I hadn't. Fatalities were always a brag, now those people live in my head and I can never evict them. If I ever meet them on the other side, I'll apologize, profusely. No human should be immortalized in that way. I burned all those pics years ago and I'm still haunted.

0:12 odd piece here: called a sedamubalance. This stretched 4 door Chevy? Cadillac? has a removable door post to get the stretcher in and out. If you look thru the back side window you can see the stretcher. When not transporting patients it's used as a limo. Made from the late '40's thru the early '60's.0:28 WTH is that?2:19 the 1st amphicar?

It's a Buick. Badge on the hood shows it.

@jimgriffin9924 1st of all it's a sedanbulance. 2nd if it was a Buick it would have portholes. 3rd I was way off it's a '54 ish Chrysler. I dug around on Google to find out this info.

@@richardrice8076 You're right. Them hood badge in the image isn't all that clear, but it's similar to a Buick. The grille also looks like a Buick's. But on closer look the Buick badge would have been more square. Good spot on the portholes. Do you know when Buick started adding them? My uncle had a '56 Buick with the portholes. As I recall, it had 3 on each side, which mean tit was a 6 cylinder. 4 portholes indicated a V8
