--- Trees cover everything, ruins and desolation are what this place has. The garden has so many wild plants that we cannot see the house from the outside. Too overwhelmed with the abandoned house with too many overgrown wild plants

I would think it would be better for those dilapidated buildings to be torn down and new ones built in their places. They have cracked & peeling walls, holes in roofs, bad door & window framing.

🙂 if this is in Vietnam and they have a similar attitude to safety as workers in Thailand, I'm surprised they're wearing boots! I've seen builders wearing flip flops, no hard hats, their young kids playing amongst the buildings and heavy equipment whilst the parents work, scaffolding of bamboo tied together with string, chopsticks with bare wires wrapped around them pushed into live sockets, welding without masks, etc. As obviously well intended as you mask comment is, western health and safety doesn't exist in many places. The workers are often on a fixed wage to get the job done, if they work quickly for 1 day or slowly/safely for 5 days they get the same money. A lot of employers don't provide safety equipment, you want to use it, you buy it. When I had some workmen doing some construction work for me earlier this year, it was 38 degrees, with no shade. I kept them supplied with water, sodas, energy drinks, food, even ice cream, judging by their reactions, I don't think it's a common thing. And not that I asked but they did more than I expected, cleaned up very well every evening and took away all their rubbish.

I know its hot and very humid for you but PLEASE wear face masks if only for the sweeping - all that concrete dust and old flaky lime paint is so very bad for your lungs. Those chairs and bench would be a fabulous refurbish job. Can you imagine how pretty they’d be? Seeing all the wood furniture… it just goes to show how lasting well-made, real-wood furniture is and the quality of the workmanship. If it were repaired and fixed up, that could be a cute little house.

I love how you chop up all that green and leave it there to give all those nutrients back to the soil. So many videos you see where they clean it all up making the soil poorer and poorer. You guys are amazing, great videos!

It's a fine line. Sometimes If too much is left, it can suffocate the soil and nothing will grow. One needs to know just how much to clean up and how much to leave.

a lot of the cassava and taro are tuber plants and will regrow even if they chop the leaves and stems off

These are basically third world countries ravaged by war and elements over the years. Their governments are waking up to a harsh reality and realise poverty cannot produce a successful outcome to be a successful nation on the world stage.. these workers are doing a great service and this house will be an adequate shelter for a poor family. Kudos to this crew!!!!🎉❤

It is really really important for your lungs to be wearing masks. People are telling you this for a reason I work in the medical care and having this dust and the lie stuff powder from the buildings can make your blood lungs bleed, so please put on masks.

Great job on clearing the garden, tgose brush cutters were earning their keep! If this is Vietnam it must be up north where the temps aren't so high, if not I question the "abandoned for 20 years" title. I live in northern Thailand and most houses abandoned for 20 years are beyond saving! 😐 I've seen houses left for 7 years and the gardens have all but reverted to jungle, trees growing through windows and vents, pulling down walls or through the roof. I've never experienced vegetation growing so quickly as it does here. 🙂

Ya'll are the best. You gave of yourself to do a great job. Some only give a little and are disappointed in themselves not realizing that to give everything you have gives you a sense of pride in yourself. For no other reason you should do your best. Be at peace with yourselves. You are good people. Side not, I liked when the guy was pulling on the limb and it wouldn't move. The other guy gave it a Jackie Chan kick and separated it for removal. I guess I just gave away my age😮.
