i put off watching terrifier 2 for the LONGEST time because i wasn't a huge fan of the first one but the sequel ended up being WAY more interesting and kinda fun. i totally recommend, would love to see you react to it. :)

the 2nd one is more up your alley it has more of an actual plot and the characters are more developed and the cinematography is also more creative overall i think you should definitely watch the 2nd

The Terrifier are genuine indie horror breakout films. The first film was made just for around $55k. But the sequel is not just better than the first film and has so much plot and character development, it was made through an indiegogo campaign with a final budget of $250k but made an j redouble $15 million return in theaters. It was only meant to be in theaters for 1 week but due to the success and popularity it kept gaining an audience and the was incredibly successful. If you can stomach it, I would highly recommend you watch the sequel. It not only is objectively better because it looks and sounds better, it had a main lead you can get behind and adds more lore and depth to the world and Art the Clown. Hope you see it.

On one hand Terrifier 2 is definitely an improvement character and story-wise on the other hand the gore is also next level so really take that into account.

Just wait until you do the second. It’s much better (albeit a bit long). The acting and overall quality may not be the best, but it was also crowdfunded on a $35,000 budget. The director, Damien Leone, also did the effects (his background), writing and editing. It’s basically a love it or hate it series. I’m in the former category. Also, yes it is sadly misogynistic but I like the approach that they made with Art as a villain.

Terrifer 2 is alot better for sure

The Terrifier movies aren't that gory or scary. The gore's just campy. Honestly, people that freak out over them are pretty much horror newbies.

i like these movies well enough, but having seen them both i’ve come to the conclusion the writer or creator or whoever really hates women. i find the recurring threads between the victims more disturbing than the gore itself tbh eta it’s such a throwback to classic slashers, which i guess means you could argue the women hating thing is the point, but i feel like the sequel tries to get past that but ultimately digs itself deeper in the wrong direction. idk, i haven’t read anything the creators have said so maybe i’m totally off. just gut reaction

States that Art is just a sadistic psychopath killer who likes to turter an muck an f with people before killing them. For his own amusement in other words he enjoys taking his time before he kills people. People are just toys to him an nothing more life is meaningless to him. Even his own life is meaningless because as Damien Leone said on the audio commentary. In the beginning of the movie that being when Art first sees Tara and Down. Art is a normal human with nothing supernatural about him in any way shape or form at all. All the injuries he took in the movie up til the end. Where all nonfatel injuries people have been stable in the side an in the back an in the foot an in the eye. Along with being hit with 2 x 4 an hit in the head an lived in real life. It happens all the time an they don't die so why would Art. Then at the end when Art put a bullet through his head it officially killed him permanently 100 percent dead. That wird electrical stuff in the morgue was a supernatural force resurrecting. Art back from the dead then an only then making Art supernatural. Because if it was not for the wird electrical stuff in the morgue that being a supernatural force. Art would still be permanently 100 percent dead. This is Damien Leone saying it on the audio commentary for the movie so its 100 percent official an cannon. This is also the story plot of the movie its simple. You see a normal human sadistic psychopath killer Art the clown. Go from being a normal human with nothing supernatural about him in any way shape or form at the beginning. When he first sees Tara and Down then at the end he dies officially an permanently 100 percent dead. Then a supernatural force resurrects Art back from the dead making him supernatural only after beginning resurrected back from the dead by that supernatural force. As Damien Leone said at some point every slasher killer goes supernatural. So he started this movie with a normal human killer Art the clown. Then you see him put a bullet through his head an officially died permanently. Then you see a supernatural force resurrecting Art back from the dead then an only then making Art supernatural. Basically it's the start of Art the Clown story. Damien Leone said that when he was writing Terrifier 2016 he was already planning Terrifier 2. Then when he was writing Terrifier 2 he was already planning Terrifier 3 and maybe Terrifier 4. If he can't finish Art the Clowns story in Terrifier 3 fully its all planned out in Damien Leones head. Terrifier 2016 you see Art go from being a normal human sadistic psychopath killer. To a supernatural killer after being resurrected from the dead by a supernatural force at the end of the movie. Then in Terrifier 2 non spoiler you already know what Art the Clowns deal is an what he does. So it can introduce new characters because you already know what Arts all about from Terrifier 2016. Now it is a low budget independent movie. Because on the audio commentary Damien Leone said he loves horror movies. But he wanted something completely different an new but all Hollywood mainly does is. Remakes , reboots, sequels and prequels to older movie IPS. So he said if Hollywood won't make a new an original killer I will. So he began working on the character of Art the Clown way back in 2008. This is also a hardcore horror movie so it doesn't. Turn away from showing the brutal kills Damien Leone doesn't care about. The movie ratings bord so he will show every single second of a brutal kill if he wants to. Unlike the mainstream Hollywood horror movies you are clearly used to. They constantly tone down their movies to keep it rated R. On many audio commentaries an bonus features for movies. I heard how they had to tone down the kills to keep it rated R. Even Wes Craven said on the audio commentary for the original Scream movie. That they had to tone down the kills in the movie to keep it rated R.

I love horror movies but I didn’t love Terrifier. It was too depressing for me. The best horror movies have some element of comedy / camp / social commentary that keeps things light and fun. It would be cool to see you react to horror classics like Dawn of the Dead, The Hills Have Eyes, Texas Chainsaw etc

my biggest complaint about this movie is the set/location. i never know if they're supposed to be inside or outside and it always threw me off.

why gotta make this about men and women thing? This is the first I heard from a commentary that a killer should be equal to how he kills men and women. This is so fcking bizarre. Also, he literally made a pumpkin head with the guy that threw him out of the pizza place and show it to his employee who he murdered slowly as well. He murdered more men than women in this movie. He killed 5 men and 3 women so IDK how and why would this make him appear like some sexist.
