The starving Smurfs discover a cave that has a stash of frozen food inside guarded by an equally frozen troll who was imprisoned because of his greed by a magic diamond. As the Smurfs defrost the cave, Gargamel steals the food, but the magic diamond transforms him into an icy mass and the freed troll happily helps the Smurfs carry the food back to their village.

The underground trolls who want them to be their slaves capture the Smurfs. Papa Smurf ingeniously frees them and then destroys the trolls' magic crystal ball that gives them power over the Smurfs.

Brainy and his friends organize a journey to Ice Mountain to pick the rare snow flower for Papa Smurf. They meet a terrifying snow beast that befriends them, due to Smurfette's kindness, and helps them find the tiny flower.
33:00 - 44:23 - The Smurfstone Quest
In the distant valley of Nodrog, the Smurfs meet the Molians who try to dissuade them from obtaining the magical Smurf-stone that Papa Smurf needs to cure his gout.
44:24 - 55:49 - The Smurf Who Would Be King
Dreamy yearns to be King after reading a story about them. He falls through a whirlpool while on his ship and finds himself in the land of pokies who think Dreamy is their long-lost King. When he confronts the pokies' enemies, the Norfnags, he finds they aren't fearful at all. Dreamy bumps his head and wakes up to discover it was just a dream, yet finds a jewel in his cap, just like the ones the pokies mine for a living.
