So it contains Borax. I did research and unless the dog eats a lot of it, it's not harmful.

Do you know exactly how the ant gets the bait? My ants have really big heads and can't fit in the little hole. I am assuming the ants have to go in the hole, get some liquid, and then exit and take the liquid back to the nest. My ants are crawling all over the stake but that's it.

Not trying to be smart.. honest question. Do you put these out continuously? Or just once a year? Do you use anything inside your house?

When down in florida, I'd say I put them out 2-3 times a year. After the first time, ants are gone within just a few days. Then I wait. Once I start to see activity again, I'll put them out again but that's usually not for a while. I have a attached garage so a few weeks back they made their way in heavy. So the stakes go outside and Terro also sells the flat liquid baits. Those are the ones I put in the garage. It's really the only bait I recommend because of how quick it works
