@@eilbron I would pickup a 2024 6 seater with FSD. When you buy FSD it gives you a free selection of seat configuration. The FSD has been pretty impressive recently

@@eilbron getting 6 seat option for free with FSD makes it enticing. Since you are paying for 6 seats already. Also just because you have FSD, you don't have to use it. I'm not a big fan of buying used cars. The Model X are more prone to issues. Much more so than any other Tesla. So I would like to have as much warranty as I can with an X.

At launch it had a badge, then they ran out of badges so for most of 2021 they just wrote 'Plaid', then in 2022 onward they got more badges so it is badges again

Also, coming from someone who had a 2016 X, the refreshed is significantly better in my view. Built better, heat pump efficiency, overall efficiency, more quiet.

Non-plaid are also ventilated, but honestly I don't really notice it. But maybe when the weather gets hotter. I know it works because sometimes I feel it but I forgot about it until you mentioned in this comment

@@cwang9915 Oh didn't know it was also ventilated for long range. Thanks for a quick reply. I have the 2018 X and at the time only plaid model had the ventilated seats :)

@@leomode2in 2018 there was no plaid.

The X suspension is more comfortable, it is more quiet, and fits more people and is faster. The new Y that is coming will bridge some of it. I like driving the Y because it is smaller but the X is by far more comfortable and we take it if we need to carry 5 or 6 people.

The 5 seater adjustment for 2nd row is manual whereas the 2nd row adjustment for the 6 seat is electronic. 6 seater 2nd row adjustment can go back and forth as well as recline

The 5 and 7 seater can fold down but not the 6

as long as it is below $80k

Only way x qualifies is with no options on order and you can retrofit it after delivery

@@michelrussell2014 I prefer the 6 but the 5 qualifies for 7500 tax credit. So a 6 seat effectively costs like 15k? More. I don’t like it THAT much more

@@cwang9915 well I wouldn’t benefit much from the tax credit so it didn’t really factor into my decision. I just took advantage of the price reduction

The 2023 long range doesn’t have a badge or colored tesla logo. It looks exactly like the 2022

Hit or miss. My preference is not to own them out of warranty. The Y and 3 have fewer issues because they make much more of them and are simpler cars. But the X is a much better car than the Y for comfort

@@ChristianMaiOfficial Actually I should caveat that. The $20 a year doesn't include tires. Really the main expense is tires. The tire wear on a X is less than a 3 and Y. I go through 2 sets of rear tires before the front on the 3 and Y because I guess it might be more RWD biased. The X seems to be fairly even front and rear so they actually last a long time. The $20 really is just window washer fluid if you are somewhere that you use it a lot and cabin filter that needs to be changed like once every couple years. @@aerodyneservices 😂 Yeah Tesla has their issues especially on the S and X. My 3 and Y never really had any problems. S and X is another story although my Plaid has been pretty good except I need to put in a ticket for my charger door not opening when I click on the charger button that is on the plug. I made videos of my 2016 X acting up where it went haywire

Too many reasons to list but i'll take a shot. - Power delivery, the power delivery of Tesla is superior to ICE cars. Instant power and lots of it. - Noise level, no engine noise. A quiet cabin is a measure of luxury and having no engine noise means a quieter ride. - One pedal driving means not needing to brake which leads to a more effortless drive. You really just modulate the acceleration pedal. The car brakes using regenerative braking which charges the car. - Lower cost to operate. There is really very little if any maintenance needed. No oil changes, no transmission fluid, basically no brake jobs. Very little moving parts means over the long run, there is less things to break and fix. A conventional ICE vehicle basically has tiny explosions in the engine to generate power. Over time it will fail and need more maintenance. - Time savings. There is no need to go get gas every week or take the car to dealer to service. Literally just go home and plug in and wake up to a 'full tank'. Literally save hours a year from not needing to go out of your way to go to a gas station. The only times i go to a Tesla supercharger is on road trips. And a 5 minute stop on a 4 hour drive will add more than another hour of driving. We have to stop anyway to go to the bathroom or eat. - Ease of use: For the Model X you literally just walk up and the door opens for you, put on seat belt and foot on brake and it puts it into gear for you and closes the door for you. When you leave it closes the garage for you, when you get home it opens the garage for you. - Technology, the car basically has an ipad in the middle which I love. - Idling, you can sit in your car for hours with full AC and watching movies if you have passengers that dont want to get out of the car. Comes in handy when wife wants to go shopping and prefer to just relax in your car without running your gas engine. You can basically stay all day in your car and have minimal power loss. Just too many to list, once you go EV it is hard to go back. I had an ICE SUV that I had my nanny drive. One day I drove it and I thought there was something stuck under the gas pedal because it was so slow. I looked down and realized I was flooring it already.

@@cwang9915 Charles, that was a very good summary of the advantages of EV over ICE. It’s the exact same discussion I have with people. I absolutely hate driving an ICE car now. I started with a Model 3, then Model Y, and I’m picking up an X next week in the new Ultra Red color. Very excited to get it. I opted for the 5 seater because the captain chairs don’t fold down and once in a while I need the large storage area.
