I was easily able to drive 8 hours per day because Full Self Driving takes all the work out of it. We found that the charger stops took about as long as it took to visit the loo, grab a pie and chips with a coffee, every 3 hours thanks to the long range having 580Km range. Awesome video TB! I’d been wanting a Tesla since the Model S came out years ago but it was well out of my price range so I waited. The Model Y came out about the time I was looking to sell our Acura MDX and I scheduled a test drive in KC. That’s all it takes. I ordered a Y that weekend and picked it up 8 weeks later and it’s been the best automobile I’ve ever had and it’s not even close. We picked it up a year ago tomorrow and it’s got a little over 16,000 miles on it and have taken it on multiple road trips. The Supercharger network makes it so easy. Never had range anxiety. And as far as car fires go, ICE and hybrid cars are about 11 times more likely to catch fire than an all electric car. I charge at home primarily and it’s added about $20/ month to my electric bill. Found your channel recently and I’m digging your content! Keep it up!

If you turn on the turn signal it gracefully disengages with minimal resistance as soon as you start moving. You can also disengage by moving the drive stalk upwards once. These are the 2 most graceful ways to disengage AP.

My uncle-in-law came to my house with a Tesla Model 3 standard range it was a rental so we did not have full functionality but it was still really cool and stupid fast I was thinking that 5 or 4 seconds 0-60 was pretty slow but it feels much different! Charging is much cheaper than gasoline and we don't really need the charge it during the night because it already has enough charge to get too many superchargers in many other places when we're done with it and when we do charge it at superchargers but we only need to stop once or twice and it feels very comfortable my uncle-in-law complained about the lack of break responsiveness but I found a setting that would fix that for him but he refused because he already got used to it, and the times we do plug it into the house it is so convenient since we could just plug it into a normal outdoor sockets and that will get you enough range where I live to go basically wherever you need and back twice, even though it's a rental and we don't have full functionality like the smartphone app it's not an option but it is still the best freaking car I have ever experienced even if I'm too young to drive it being a passenger is just so good though! I would also play chess on the screen when we were in parking lots when the car was not in use when I was still inside.

Not in low speed of course, but when driving at 45-75 mph the tirenoise is very present and the noise from the frameless sidewindows are so high that I first thought that the window can not be 100% closed, but after pulling on the switch I could confirm that it actually was closed. Maybe there is something wrong with my friends car, maybe the sidewindow needs some adjustment? I do not know, but what I do know is that my 15 year old BMW´s are way way quieter that that car. (I have a 130i -07 and a 550i touring -07) I am thinking about buying a Tesla as my next car. I do not change cars very often. I have tested many EVs and like many of them, but one of my demands is that it is comfortable and quiet to live with. I testdrove a brand new Model X last year, it was not quiet. And I also been testing 3 different models of Model S, they were good! On par with my BMW 550i regarding noise level at highway speed 👍I also liked Porsche Taycan, but I think it is to expensive.. Regardless of what my experiences are with Model 3, if you are satisfied with your car, that is 100% perfect because you own a Model 3 and I do not :)

@@zwieseler great article, and I am not a Tesla hater at all, it's a amazing machine with what musk has created. with that said I have been a gearhead for many years, both 2 and 4 wheels. Also have some high performance credentials, been on racetracks numerous times, so I have some knowledge. Every man made device has plus' s and minus's . But the Tesla dudes kinda pompus attitude comes off as the typical Tesla PROPAGANDA fanboy. Only giving one side of the story( i.e. propaganda) , and never any drawbacks, the way honest reviewers did decades ago. An e.v is NOT the best choice for everyone, at least now! Again, before Tesla fans throw a hissy fit like a scorned school girl reading this, EVs are the future. However, right now, there are a lot of drawbacks to e.v.'s. What if you live in an apartment?( charging it) , OR the fun fact producing e.v. batteries is EXTREMELY inefficient. To produce one 1000 pound e.v. battery, nearly a half a million pounds of material has to be excavated( and by slave labor). Or, the sad fact lately Tesla's woefully inadequate autopilot have killed 2 motorcyclists. The plaid is the fastest quarter mile production car*, beating million dollar European hyper i.c.e. cars ( it pains me to say this). However, for it's crazy straight line speed, the plaid has God awful crappy brakes.and this is NOT my opinion. Don't believe me? Look up the pros comments from car and driver magazine about on a twisty road driving a plaid at speed they had to slow down after a few hard braking episodes with the brakes emitting burning smell( and the cars dashboard flashing a hot warning light. Really,???? ?After just several hard stops?on a 120 grand+ ( dollar) 1000 h.p.performance sedan???????? With all this said, e.v's are the future. Laws passed to force the public in buying these ( the sleazy politicians INVEST in e.v. companies (they buy stock in those companies, and their families)) have been enacted, so once zillions of e.v.s are produced , they become filthy rich( er). In closing, hats off to Elon for producing a electric vehicle that works as well as it does. It still has it's teething problems, and is far from perfect ( especially FOR everyone!) Still was fun to watch this video. *DISCLAIMER, I was incorrect regarding one fact, there is a e.v. that is faster than a plaid. Hint, it is NOT produced in North America, it's a coupe( 2 door), and the FIRST production unit ( though I'm not sure if a version has been produced for North America markets), was bought by the Formula 1 ( racing) world champion icon Nico Rosberg. Look it up! Thanks to the owners for sharing their positive stories. Cheers!!!!!!!!!!

02:50 in fairness to GM, it must be said that they did eventually recall the faulty Chevy Bolts; AFTER issuing the notice to park far away from structures and vehicles: "GM had previously asked owners to park Bolt vehicles outdoors, away from structures, and to not charge them overnight. GM also urged owners to not leave Bolt EVs charging unattended, even if using a charging station in a parking deck. Bloomberg News reported the recommendation earlier. GM in August widened its Bolt recall to more than 140,000 vehicles to replace battery modules, at a cost now estimated at $1.8 billion after reports of 10 fires. The automaker said it would seek reimbursement from GM battery supplier LG" (Reuters).

According to 2020 NTSB vehicle fire data there were about 173,000 gasoline cars and only 52 electric car fires. Stated in a more dramatic fashion there are about 474 gasoline car fires per day and .14 electric!! You've got to look at a week to see your first electric car fire. Based on units sold, that's 1,530 gasoline cars per 100,000 and 25 electric per 100,000 caught fire. It should also be noted that despite selling more EVs than any other manufacturer, Tesla represents only a small percentage (4-5/yr) of the EV fires, yet they make the biggest news.

I bought my tesla in 2019 coming from a 2013 Prius. Needless to say, I got stomped and dragged and left for dead when I tried justifying my Prius. No one on my job (all males) wanted to hear anything. After trading in the Prius, (loved the car), for the 2019 Tesla, the bashing began again. All of the battery issues, charging times, and lack of charging stations became the topic of many conversations/debates. Finally, one of my co-workers needed a ride home. It was a short ride but while riding he said, "Show me what this thing can do". I immediately stepped on the accelerator, (Dual Motor not Performance), and he began to scream louder and louder telling me to slow down. All I did was take him down one street for a little less than 1000 feet. He commented after leaving the car but, it wasn't much. A few days later, I passed by the job, he was standing outside, and when he saw me he began to talk about the car's acceleration. So, here I was again, taking someone else for a quick spin. Yes, they were very impressed despite trying to disguise it. After all has been said and done, there are now 5 Tesla owners on my job. LOL
