Great question… I thought about heating it up a little bit just to bend it, but I didn’t have to. The strip does have a little bit of bend in it already…. So no need straight out of the box. You can just put it in there without having to heat up anything. Very simple install… and I’ve had zero issues with these lights. Definitely recommend them. They are awesome.

So I have a 2020 Tesla Model 3 and my center consul is painted white to match the seats

they sent me out one long strip for the dash and then two shorter ones for the center console..

@SHOTTYTV Thank you. Yes I saw that part in the video but wasn't sure if maybe a firmware update stopped it from working. Other reviewers said you had to wait 10 minutes once you exit the car and it will come back on when the car awakes from sleep. Also evbase themselves are telling me I need the 60s auto switch adapter on their website which is also why I am confused.

@@johnabis1 mines a 2020 maybe with the newer versions you need to do more stuff but I highly doubt it … all you need to do is plug into the cable in the back and everything should work and turn on and off when you close the door I’ve had zero issues . :)

He wired it to the OBD at the back so it turns on and off with the car. The other install with the round puck is the sensor which will take awhile to respond. It's your install choice.

I showed you every single step.…. With the OBD connector, The only connector I had to deal with was in the back and I show that part in the video, I did not have to run anything to the main computer underneath the dash.

Mines a 2020 so I don’t need to run the cord to the front mine plugs in directly in the rear … I think that’s what you’re asking

@@SHOTTYTV Did the center console and the dashboard have its own controller unit or they share a single controller unit?

@@johnabis1 not sure what you mean by own controller but it’s a total of three strips of light each having to plug in

Did all the cables fit in where the OBD connector if not where you put the cables ?

It’s plugged in the rear only … I just have the cable routed through the console so it looks clean so you don’t see the cable running :) … if you want you don’t even have to tap into the rear and you can just plug it in to the center consul outlet, but it’s not auto on and off. That’s why I chose to go with the rear. I’ve had it for months now, and it’s never a worry, and it always works. :)

Hi, mines a 2020 so I have the same center consul as you … if you click the link in my bio, the kit will work with our center consul. Technically it will work with either Model you have … so if you have a 2021 and newer it’ll still work :)

They do not at the moment, but you could custom do it with the same lights… I may attempt too

I do not use an app at all to turn it on and off… it automatically turns on and off when you open and close the door… no app control needed whatsoever… your comment is incorrect lol make sure you watch the video. I show you when I open my door. It turns on and when I close my door it turns off. :)
