Thanks for the video, looking forward to seeing more videos about this car. Just bought a used 2015 P85D with 91K miles four weeks ago. Out of warranty of course and I am a bit nervous about a battery or drive train issue. Any other advise you would give a used model s owner?

I got mine in December 2022. My warranty was up in March 2023. January my rear motor went out. I'm assuming the change from a seasoned Tesla owner who is used to the performance to me who couldnt stop smiling after every stop light was the final straw but boy am I happy it was replaced. I can relate deeply to your concern. It was also fluid they said in the rear motor but it felt like a very mechanical gear like problem and would stop me from rolling until I pushed the accelerator pretty hard to get it to move. I've worked on cars for 20 years so it's not an uneducated assumption. My scepticism with the service center is well founded with 4 visits to the SC. I have very little faith in their ability or their desire to satisfy their customers. I'm also in Utah 💯.

Long story short. I bought a 2014 P85D (December 2014 build) with 100K miles. Warranty Expired January 2023, and I bought it February 2023 (used dealer said it still had manufactures warranty--a lie) same day I drove it off the lot that evening I noticed a clunk in the motor during acceleration and deceleration, so that evening I emailed Tesla and a couple days later scheduled a service appointment once I got the car/app in my name. 10 days after purchase was the service appointment to check the motor, that very same morning I got in the car to drive it to the service center and a bunch of BMS faults appeared. A few days later the said the battery is shorted and needs replacement at $13,750 remanufactured with brand new cells. Third-party "Warranty" I paid about 8K for didn't cover the battery because they said it was a pre-existing condition, dealer won't fess up to their poor inspection before sale... Why did I have a battery failure same day as an unrelated service appointment? Such BS.

If all Tesla clients are similar... Elon won't stay longer as the richest 😅
