Tesla robotaxi won't be ready for scale until 2030: Analyst

Tesla (TSLA) shares are trading higher on Friday despite a Bloomberg report indicating a two-month delay in unveiling the company's highly anticipated robotaxi. Guggenheim Securities director of automotive equity research Ron Jewsikow joins Catalysts to discuss Tesla's future prospects.
Jewsikow calls the robotaxi plans as "a massive pivot" for Tesla, marking a shift from the company's previous focus on making electric vehicles more affordable. He notes that the robotaxi event announcement came on the heels of Tesla's decision to delay or cancel its "next-generation platform," mounting more pressure on the robotaxi project to be a success.
A full-scale launch "prior to 2030 is unlikely," Jewsikow says about a realistic timeline for the robotaxi release date. Jewsikow views the period leading up to 2030 as a testing phase: "post-2030 is when this is a meaningful contributor to the business, and I would say even probably well into the 2030s before this is even at scale."

Everybody pretending like Tesla isn't fraud...Elon's being promising things that never materialize at all and Tesla car sales already slumping, I can even guarantee Tesla won't be around in 2030 :)

@@Marques127 No one knows the future, but we can make best guesses based on the research we do, personal experiences, and taking insights from sources that have proved reliable at predictions on the subject in the past. Then we all put our money where our mouth is and invest or not. I've been wrong about tons of stuff in my life, I try to be less wrong over time. One thing is for sure though. The Tesla bears won't apologize the next time (or next 50 times) they are proven wrong, they never have before

I wouldn’t buy Tesla now (nor would I suggest anyone does) because you have tremendous risk with no upside. Only reason why Tesla has remained high is because so many people own so much back when it was cheap. You have to own the stock for 10 years for the slight chance you might make some money then? You’d be better off owning 10 year treasury notes because at least you get some guaranteed money after 10 years.

Which company will service the ROBO TAXY? Uber or Lyft? They are using poor part time drivers for under minimum wage and their capital investment of cars... Does Elon has a price point of ROBO TAXI? ..... Does Elon take responsibility for County state tickets..
