Just a few days after my last video going over the Model S, 3, X diecasts, Tesla started selling a Semi diecast. Here is the unboxing. Think it looks good in my garage! #teslasemi

I wish they'd have kept the same scaling. The auto transport trailer would be awesome, but would require scale models to fit it.

You could sit in it and drive it but only on the sidewalk and mpc would be low.

The Roadster is so much better and is pretty important in Tesla’s roadmap. Obviously semi is so important, but roadster will just be so insanely cool.

Federal DOT law still requires traditional mirrors, even if they have cameras. I'm sure it'll update at some point since those laws were written back when the camera technology didn't exist, but that's where we're at right now.

Hi Erik, you have a nice garage. You have nice Tesla’s and nice scale models of your Tesla’s. It is clear to me, what you need next: a scale model of your garage to put your die cast Tess’s in. And next of course .... a scale model of you and your friend.

Would be nice if they were all the same scale and a trailer car hauler like you suggested. Even a package deal that includes all the current Tesla vehicles with a trailer for a total price if purchased together as a package for $1k that includes a trailer and the ability to lock in a purchase of the next couple releases for $200 each instead of $250. I would probably be sending Tesla another grand right now for that offer.

You would think for the price that inclusion of the matching trailer would be automatic especially as the upper part is plastic not die cast metal and it's made in China. Looks really cool though with great detail.

You need miroirs it is righired by law like the law said in the model 3 the panic botton could not be on the tablet it had to be a botton so he put it on the roof of the car.

As far as i know the real mirrors are there due to US legislation. Over here in Europe they recently allowed the use of cameras to replace the mirrors. Thats also why the Audi eTron is available with cameras instead of mirrors in the EU but not in the US.

@DÆrik is the top removeable so you have a 2-in-1 model with the smaller version of the Semi too? i thought i saw a glimpse of a second, lower, roof which would fit to the size of the smaller Semi..

Any idea how to remove the high airfoil from the truck without breaking it? It looks like it's supposed to come off and show the low profile roof, but I am afraid to force it.

In fact you can find also the Model X and Cybertruck at 1:24 scale. I agree with you, this truck model is expensive but in France the brand Eligor released the Renault T truck at 1:24 scale and it was expensive as well.

and for the first Tesla roadster you can as well built it from a Lotus Elise model as the car was derivated from the Lotus roadster. Several modelcar brands released the Elise but the cheapest may be Welly: they released the Elise at 1:24 and 1:18 scales.

I thought you were going to say the black interior vs the ultra-white, since the mirrors will be on the launch vehicle that makes sense to have them on the model, hopefully they remove them when the regulations allow cameras to replace mirrors. Tesla says the frunk is there on the Semi. That would be awesome to get the whole fleet, you should get an original roadster.

Cool idea on the trailer. Then they should just come out with a larger 1/18 scale for more money, with a car carrier. That would be great.

I bought an MSM Model 3 to match the one I have, but need to perform a chrome delete and apply some red on the T logos. Anyone have suggestions about what to use? Maybe nail polish?

I am really fan for this Semi. But I don't about it is...it does not have place to sleep Tesla would made a space where you have some cooking sleep etc. For travelers and truckers.

i like all the models of Tesla,as for the semi i am a truck driver and until ill see a real one on Hwy i can only say that looks nice as a toy too ,but i drive in my first year 3 different volvo and the last volvo was the new model,my truck now is a Frieghtliner Cascadia 2015 and i have some diecasts of them ,anyway i wait to see the new videos good job

It should have been the same scale as the others, and there should be a trailer. You could probably find a generic trailer of either scale at a hobby store, though.

Awesome unboxing, Erik but there should be a little Elon figure stepping out like the reveal... Perhaps the Roadster 2.0 model will come with a trailer option that can be attached to the Semi. Great idea for Tesla to consider an original Roadster model, you should shout that out to Elon!
