excellent question sir. NO and that is a real issue when installing these because you cannot just install it and then slip the trim ring over the unit which is what you have to do with most cars. What you need to do is get one of the amazon slide in cages. This will allow you to install the cage get it wired up with the cars trim all installed and then the final step is sliding the deck into the cage. amzn.to/3JoSbOZ

Hi there, not sure what you mean? it comes with two metal brackets. It fits a double din opening. You have to get a bit creative with it and maybe use factory stereo brackets. I found one issue is if your car has a trim ring that is mean to go on last after a deck is installed. Becuase the face does not remove you have to put this in after the dash is assembled. It would be helpfull if you told me that make model and year of the car as your question is as vauge as it gets.

Again, as mentioned several times, IF THE TRUCK HAS A DOUBLE DIN OPENING THEN THIS WILL FIT. THE INSTALL WILL BE DIFFERENT AS IT COMES WITH BRACKETS AND NOT A CAGE. I recommend you both get this amzn.to/3C1LldG with anthing that is different like this, there may be some issues with the install. Most decks have a cage and you mount the cage to the car and then slide the deck in from the front. The brackets that come with this deck really do not allow you to put the deck in last. Depending on yoru car, you may have to put your car back together AROUND the deck. Every vehicle is differnt you wont know until you try.

I don't have this, been thinking about getting one. But I do have the 10.1 android touch screen (which is a lot like this just horizontal) and my only 2 gripes are no screen mirroring, and like you said, my Torque app doesn't work on it! My Bluetooth obd2 scanner works great on my phone as well. But can't get it to work on my stereo either.

go into bluetooth settings on the unit change pair code to 1234 instead of 0000 then it should work

Hot spot is set up on your phone not the stereo. Once you set up hotspot on your phone, you just connect the stereo to the wifi ssid being broadcast by your phone.

contact an audio video installation shop. All the info about fitments is described in the video. However (LOL) because I am a nice guy, I did look into it for you a bit. From what I can tell, the camry 2009 has a very similar dash to my solara. From what I can tell, and I do not know this to be 100 percent correct, The climate control is sperate from the radio. If it is like mine, you will need a simple dash kit which will accept a double din. The install is a bit more custom as you may have to play around with the dash kit brackets ( ie drilling a few holes and/or modifying it a bit) Keep in mind these decks do not have a removable face so it is a bit trickier getting it all back together. Remember when installing a traditional double din unit you install the deck with the faceplate off. The trim pieced generally go on last around the deck. With these units you cant do that. You kinda need to put it all back together with the deck in the way. For instance on my honda, I had to side the deck in after the dash was back together. The deck just kind of holds itself in there with friction. It is not bolted in because you cannot access the brackets. However, if you get this, I will put a few links in the bottom here. You can get a special install cage that will allow you to slide the deck into the dash and attached clips will lock it in. That is really the proper way to install these. If you have the JBL system from toyota the install is not as simple and I would def consult an audio shop. If they try and sell you something they have and they tell you the decks they have will fit but this one wont they are lying. If they can fit any other brand unit in the car they can fit this unit. Deck power, I have a 2004 ram with the infinity audio system everything is working but no sound. Unless there maybe something wrong with the unit itself

Did you use an amp bypass harness? if you have the infinity system I suspect it is factory amplified and that is not a simple standard deck hook up. If you did take this into account during the install, it could always be a bad deck but try switching between inputs radio, bluetooth etc and see if you get anything. Let me know.

Yea I think it might depend on the quality of the obd2 dongle. Some have fast refresh.

Im not sure about that on these. I also dont want to bog it down. Seems anytime I have changed a launcher on slower devices its never good.

@@PhatkatCollections it's a bit janky because of the way this head unit is built but it is possible. I bought this head unit back in 2020 and didn't get around to installing it the last month and I ended up changing the launcher myself. It does take some finagling but it is possible. As far as simplicity and working with it out of the box then I understand where you're coming from. But in my opinion, the whole idea of going with these cheap units is because there is some DIY involved to make it more personalized

ahh thats too bad YOUR experience was bad. Mine is great. Not perfect but defiantly not just like your stating. It is to be noted. There is not BASS output on the deck. Its front and rear only. Maybe you wired it wrong. Mine kicks ass.
