If you watched endgame it’s made clear she stepped up and took care of the people of asgard when Thor was nowhere to be found during the blip. That’s why he made her king at the end, which is historically accurate because female kings have existed before

If you know anything about history, you should know Thor is a Norse mythology deity and the people of Norway didn't have the same type of government as those in Africa, Hungary, or Poland. I don't think she's brunnhilde. Brunnhilde is white and blonde. And at this point the comics have established tessa's valkyrie as different from the OG. I believed in the MCU Brunnhilde is dead.

If a female wants the title of King for attention seeking purposes, it would just be insulting the title of Queen.

“King” is the title she is taking over. There are plenty of female kings throughout history, depending on the culture. It’s not necessarily a gendered word, just think of it like the word “kingdom”.

@@SuperDusebout I understand your point. But the word has a male connotation. The word 'kingdom' itself stems from a widely patriarchal history and male leaders. But, as a society, we're past that now. So, they could have changed it to Queen and Queendom. Use these terms where appropriate and the traditional ones where they fit. Using the traditional terms for everything just reinforces them and their patriarchal nature.
