I SO agree frostdiamond1. Tessa's Canadian National ballet background is so apparent in all her skating but particularly here. As said, her line, position, poise is excellent. Such elegance really hasn't been seen since Marina Klimova (who had Bolshoi and Russian National Ballet background) .

This program is simply about love, and what better way to convey that than through a smile? Some things don't need to change rhythms to be golden.

V&M are the greatest ice dancers I have seen since T&D.

i love this program. This program has the potential to win the Olympic games. Davis and White have that same quality as well. I'm afraid that the Russians or the French will be handed the gold and silver just for being european. I don't trust the judges.

After watching the Grand Prix final, for the Olympics I would place the teams as follows: Gold: Virtue and Moir, Silver: Davis and White (or flip flop gold and silver), Bronze: Belbin and Agosto. No way, though, will three North American teams be allowed on the podium, so the Russians will show up and be handed a medal. Still, if the judges have any brains, either V & M or D & W will get the top two spots.

1:55 they have to change that lift - difficulty for diffculty's sake, not aesthetically pleasing.

i never understood why everyone fawned over this dance. I still don't. Yes it is very pretty and well executed but that's exactly my point. It's very pretty ALL THE TIME. No change in rythym and she never loses that vapid smile. It's all very one note and frankly boring. Yes, you could argue that D&W's got frantic-ish towards the end, but they at least had change in tempo/style/emotion partway through their dance. that one lift near the beginning was the only "wow" moment in the entire dance.
