Yeah I know where it comes from with the pressure I've got I think for painted armies a pano, u.s.ariadna, Nomads, Haqq and then I have another Pano, 1 or 2 yu jing, 0-12, JSA and some loose boosters I've picked up here in in various degrees of box Prime and ready to paint

Dialling back contrast is quite easy with a filter. In the past, I've used Dark Tone from Army Painter through the airbrush, this has the effect of bringing down the highlights without really affecting the shadows. You could give that Blackjack a spritz, thenredo the edges with a hairy stick.

And here, speed-painting Battletech, I just (ab)use color-shift metallics. Gets some sexy results, in a miniscule amount of time.

Nice video! I have unpainted Red Veil box. Only primed the minis. My favorite faction at the moment is Yu-Jing. And I don't even like yellow outside of wargaming! Had only one demo game of infinity back in N3 days. Was pretty cool with movement around the map and ARO.

Yu Jing are an excellent faction. I ended up starting a collection for them by accident and I'm excited to begin painting them! I'd definitely recommend you give infinity a second look - especially since Code One exists now, which is a lighter version of the game, with fewer units and slightly simpler rules.

Nothing gets a painter motivated like a tournament. I’d love to make it to ShyCon but the whole Atlantic Ocean thing is a problem.

Oh good, I haven't even finished my MO army yet.... and now I'm searching for O12 models.... my bank account does not thank you! XD And for that I am "borrowing" your blue and yellow scheme... but changing the turquoise to pink! so there!

@@TesseractMinis thanks! As a side note, what was your original yellow recipe, if you don't mind me asking? I know in this vid you mentioned you have changed it and I prefer the earlier version.

It was GW Mournfang Brown, worked up into Averland Sunset, then into VMC Sunny Skintone for the final highlights. I just changed the yellow for a brighter one, in the revision.
