Picked up my switchback last August (2019)....9400.00 out the door and trailered to my house!!...with only 3500 miles on the clock!! Yeah I'm quite happy with it.

Excellent review. I picked up my Switchback in Sept last year. I LOVE it! Your review very accurately describes my experience with my first ever Harley Motorcycle. Would recommend Switchback to both new and veteran riders!

Hey I just got my 2012 switchback! I’m still very green-new to riding. I trailered it home and took it around the block twice. I dumped it my second time out. I guess don’t give any throttle when cornering🤷‍♂️

I actually own and ride this beauty!!!! I love the handling, curves and overal performance of the Switchback not to mention the amazing curve appeal. If you experience vibration or metalic noise when riding I'd have the dealer check your motor mounts and gas tank to be sure they are all tight.

This is a sleeper bike! Not just for small riders. Almost 100 lbs lighter than a Road King! Gets up and goes! I love mine. Bags are a bit small but if your not doing week long trips, not an issue.

Whats it's top speed, it's probably 110mph but unless you do a stage one and straight through pipes, power commander and a re map i'd be surprised if it went above 100mph that easily??

I own this beauty and he can do 110 easy. Looking to sell if you know of anyone who may be interested. Haven't had time to ride over the last year do to personal reasons and really hate seeing this baby collect dust in the garage. Send me an email at supergld08@gmail.com if interested in purchasing.

I picked mine up Saturday, and I noticed a low-frequency buzz up around 45 mph, in the 2200 RPM range. Since I am still breaking it in, I wrote it off as still being tight. And the seat, while being more comfortable than the sportster, still needs improvement as far as I am concerned. On the sporty, after 75 miles, it was break time. I can go almost 120 miles on the Switcher before my body calls foul. I am thinking maybe a Mustang seat... any thoughts from anyone?

Would the switch back be a good for someone beginning rider or smaller bike?

in general i wouldnt recommend any harley to a beginner..maybe the small 883 sportsters, but even that...they have heavy steering which makes them difficult to dodge stuff and small-corner in the city, and without ABS brakes its really easy to lock the front wheel and see yourself facing the ground...but, everyone is different and ride differently, if you are a beginner, the best suggestion i can give you is to test ride as many different bikes as you can before you purchase one..test a harley, see what you think..

Pe Peroni You have confused heavy steering fro stability. H-D motorcycles have long wheel bases and a rake and trail designed for stability on the open road. Recommendations for a new rider must include a small engine such as 250cc and light weight. The reason for a small engine is so that the bike will be too slow off the line to cause a panic and a brain freeze which can lead to a crash. Light weight is good because a new rider had not developed the muscles and the reflexes to balance the bike well while stopped or moving slowly.

PeterDad60 no i havent "confused" anything..the steering IS heavy no matter to what bike you compare a harley to...harleys steering are always heavy..yes they are stable, but heavy! ive had over 30 different motorcycles in my life, including a Electra Ultra, a Forty-Eight, a Superlow and a Switchback...among over 10 different hondas and more 10 different bikes from all different brands you can imagine...so yeah, i am not "confusing" anything..

Look up the History books and find out tha Cal Rayburn beat the works Triumphs, Norton's and BSA's during the '60's using a works 755WR engine in a stock Sportster frame on all the English Road Racing Circuits. Today's Sportsters use the same frame. So you need to take it up with Cal Rayburn about the heavy steering of a Spotrster. You need to ask your self if your evaluation is qualified. Meaning maybe you lack the skills to make a Sportster handle the curves. I admit it took me 2 years to finally get it down so I could road race my 1994 Sportser 883 Deluxe and win.

Wow..I'm surprised to hear that. I don't own one, but I like SB a lot. I used to ride Road King for 300miles and i loved it. If you say it vibrates after 65mph and cant really see the rear view mirrors, it might be a deal breaker for me.
