Hong Kong island one long straight city skyline with a lot of mountainous terrain behind it. One thing i am excited about is the tight streets. Like EXTREMELY tight streets.

I could have sworn I was looking at game play from 2006's TDU. This literally looks like what should have followed the Hawaii TDU a year or two later, not 15 years later. I'm not impressed so far, I'll wait for reviews and retail game play before thinking about buying this.

Would be nice to have the whole city of Hong Kong though lol. This map is dense but it's half the size of Ibiza, the small map in TDU2. Oahu was about 5 times bigger. Hopefully later they'll expand it to the main city, doesn't look likely though given that there aren't any of the bridges. We shall see, should still be good though.

@@stephenmartin5766 in HK irl there are 3 tunnels to cross the harbour so hopefully we will get a Kowloon DLC including the tunnels

But in rivals you could switch between the two at anytime so I don’t know if it’s the same for Solar Crown. Also in rivals the cops and racers had separate stories too.

It's Hong Kong. Besides South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Singapore, they're the richest economy in the entire of Asia outside of China and the few 1st world countries in Asia thus they do look rich. Hong Kong is vibrant, narrow, wild and also pretty urbanized so it would be mental to race around areas like Mongkok, Lan Kwai Fong, Central, Kowloon and such.

Because Hong Kong Island is small. Well, HK itself is pretty big as it's made out of 3 main islands and more. Mainland (Kowloon) consists of what people know of like Mongkok, Sai Kung, Tsim Sha Tsui, Jordan, Yau Ma Tei and of course, Kowloon itself. Whereas the main bulk of the other side of Hong Kong where the affluent mostly stay is even smaller than Kowloon but few regions you would have heard before in Sleeping Dogs makes up this island. Places like Aberdeen, Kennedy Town, Cheung Wan (Central, the business district of HK), Wanchai, Victoria Peak, Mid-levels (Idk why they called it that way but it's the Beverly Hills of HK), Victoria Harbor (Where the Walk of Stars is), North Point, Admiralty, Tung Lo Wan (Causeway Bay), Repulse Bay and Stanley and many more districts. Then we have Lantau which is where the international airport is located now, Chek Lap Kok and the island also hosts HK's Disneyland. Tseun Wan, Yuen Long are all part of the New Territories where Lantau is comprised of during the expansion upwards off HK Island and Kowloon peninsula towards the north, east, west and anywhere within a 180 degree sphere from Kowloon.

Why? Because releasing a game with 2116.6km^2 map size that wants to compete with Horizon 5 level graphics will be enormously large in size except you're ready to sacrifice 300gb+ of storage and keep in mind this game will be releasing on old Gen hardware like the Switch, Xbox One and PS4. That decision comes with a lot of compromises to even run on the switch.

@@kak8895 Most TDU people wont Tenerife Island for example - really cool island much better even the Forza Horizon 2 map already. The Crew 2 running great on Xbox One X for example... So in this point hardware limitation totally bs.

@@kak8895 You very optimistic with KT Racing and Nacon - they best graphics is WRC 9 worse then FH4 so don't be expect Wow graphics. So we get WRC 9 graphics at Hong Kong Island in best way scenario. WRC 9 run great on Xbox one consoles btw

@@VectorIvan Me? No way I'm optimistic at all. I know for sure it'll look like ass because I've experienced their WRC games and it doesn't even hold a candle to Dirt Rally 2.0. Now to compete with Forza Horizon 5 and Forzatech is a different story 😂
