Your incredibly interesting, knowledgeable and have a unique way of telling the story. I would hope you are able to appreciate this new life for many years to come. The history of rail, travel by rail, your history could be conveyed in a ebook, or series of ebooks. 82k subs x .99 or 10.99 x new subs could be a sustainable, passive income opportunity. There are many tutorials online, as well as, people that could help with this. Just a thought my friend. Safe travels

Highway 61 is known as the "Blues Highway." Many blues legends were born and worked not too from there in the Mississippi delta. The blues stretch covers LA, MS, AR and mostly MS. There is a famous crossroad, it is suppose to be at the intersection of Highways 61 and 49. Legend has it that the father of the blues Robert Johnson made a pact with the devil there to play the bluesiest of all guitars. He wrote a song called "Crossroads." "Juke joints" (dilapidated wooden bars and shacks for music) used to line Highway 61 mostly in Mississippi. Don't know if any still exists. Bob Dylan had an album "Highway 61 Revisited" many years ago. The highway extends to his home state of MN, but the blues segment is just in the southern states already mentioned along the delta and cotton fields. Eric Clapton and others have covered "Crossroads." There used to a big annual blues festival on 61 and I don't know if it is still going, but many blues enthusiast still make a pilgrimage to Highway 61.

Could be long haulers from covid 19, no one feels the same after having it, seriously makes me wonder if it weren't being weaponized but that's neither here or there i havnt felt good since and I stay active, I've noticed way more joint pain especially in my hands knees and feet, I travel at least a mile every day on foot usually 2 but, im not getting back to what I once was im 53 and this is not normal

Isn’t Norfolk southern now CN? Just got my long awaited surgery done Shoe! Be tuning in every day now while recovering. Grew up around mile 0 of Alaska Highway just outside Whitecourt, Alberta. Lots of history (and swamps) from that end. Athabaska and McLeod rivers meet there as well.

Hey Shoestring, when my son Mark was about 7 yrs old, his mother enrolled him in a weekend summer 'conservation' camp on a private lake in Mid Michigan. I went along since he was on my watch. While everyone else brought skimmer nets for catching tadpoles, I brought along a rod and reel and a small tackle box. Mark's buddy Jonathan (now a guide in Alaska) wanted nothing to do with catching tadpoles; he had bigger game in mind. So we went out to the lake and I took out a Johnson Weedless Silver Spoon and put it on my line (no sinker, just the spoon.) Since it was a private lake run by tree-huggers, it was never fished. I cast that spoon out as far as I could and it hit flat spot on the water and bounced straight up. A two-foot large mouth leaped out of the water and caught it mid-air. The both of us were wide-eyed. We reeled it in, removed the hook and let it go. After all, we didn't think that we would want to be labelled 'persona somewhat less than grata' and deported back to Detroit. Get yourself a Johnson spoon; they're available everywhere and bass can't resist. It's more fun that waiting for that catfish. If money is tight, try 'noodling' that catfish. That can get exciting.

Im not the sharpest shovel in the barn but one thing appears to me that it seems no one else sees. Hobo is trying his darnest to tell us that he is tired and his body has told him that it just cant jump rails any more. A lot of you out there are trying to convince him of the type of vid that you are sure he needs to make. Hes tired and his body is worn down and just doesnt have the energy it used to !!! Do him a favor and keep all your selfish comments to yourself and give him time to clear his head and think what he needs to do or what he can do to support himself.
