Any information on how it performs on fast trail riding? Not all of my riding will be in the mud. How bad do those big tires shake? How much gear reduction did they give it, does it significantly slow it down? What is top speed compared to a regular sportsman?

polaris NEEDS to release a 570 highlifter edition at an entry level pice like can am did. they are losing out on a huge market with the price of things now days many people can't afford the 1000 or 850. they also really should finally come out with a engine between the current 570 and 850 if I had my way. on the trails near me I've seen more can am 650 xt models than I can count.
@brandonjohnson28307 жыл бұрын
I put big tires on my 570... not a good idea. it cant handle it. it blew a front diff, 2 engine mounts, countless axles, countless belts. only thing good about my 570 is that it was cheap to buy and it has decent power and is a smooth ride but if you are going to try build it into a mud machine then dont!

First of all get your facts straight, can am came out with the mud stamp before Polaris, the renegade XMR is the best mud bike on the market, it puts out more horsepower and has amazing clutching that Polaris would dream about. Also this Polaris is the heaviest mud bike out there. If anything is, u boys need to try the renegade XMR, this thing stock would pass by this Polaris modded. Time to get the real man stuff, that takes balls to drive (CAN AM)

Did they figure out how to build a transmission or differential that doesn't leak constantly yet? Or bearings and bushings that don't wear out after 600 miles? Polaris is the only brand I have ever seen that actually sells wire harness repair kits from so many failures. Can am uses sealed deutsch connectors. Polaris uses cheap unsealed garbage connectors made for a Child's electric yard toy. And when you have problems don't count on warranty. Polaris doesn't know what that means.

@jeremiahlf7 жыл бұрын
Aaron LeBlanc Polaris parts are made in Mexico. The labels are everywhere on every Polaris I have seen. I have been riding for 30 years and I am still waiting for Polaris to build something that I would feel confident riding in remote areas. I actually worked at a Polaris dealership briefly and they had 65 cylinders on the shelf. Can anybody explain that one? You can ride home with a damaged differential. You will never get home with a blown engine.
@aaronleblanc5407 жыл бұрын
they built and assembled their parts in america until 2010 when they decided for functionality and overall production output to build a single manufacturer plant in mexico. the cylinder count is based on how many vehicles they had and sold, if you dont know that much, then that number is incoherent in the argument. ive been riding for about ten years and i say polaris has many competent bikes with having some with problems, like every other brand on the planet, honda had the rancher 400, the first year 420, and the pioneer 1000-5 right now, can-am had the outlander gen 1 chassis break which they also used on the gen 1 renegades.

Have you ever owned a highlifter??? I traded in my XMR on one. You want to talk about issues. Blew the engine with 250Km on it first run at the mud Boggs. Then they didn't install the second engine properly and it blew when I picked it up and unloaded it in my driveway. Two front axles one back axle A belt and the final straw was a cracked frame rate at the engine mount. These can am xmrs crack frames quite often. I have two other friends that are cracked or frames on there Xmrs. I do the same riding with my high lifter the only issue I've had is two of the outlaw 2 tires separated at the seam which are now replaced under warranty. So ask me if I miss my XMR umm............NOPE! So enjoy your can am and good luck Bud. But I guess if you just ride around in your backyard you should be fine :)

@danielbeavers87015 жыл бұрын
Noah I am confused"NO," to what . Can am has always been very cheap poor quality Diffrence is they used to be cheaper than the rest. Now there still poor quality buy the price isn't cheap. Its a gimmicks. They don't last and you spend half you're day pulling over trying to fix stuff. Yes its fast but its not accurate. If honda wanted to throw reliability out the windows which can am forsure did and Polaris somewhat did. They could do it. But honda has a reputation to up hold build ones to last no matter the machine reliability comes before all the way it should be. It doesn't matter how fast yours is if my honda is doing a steady 60mph then here comes show off on his can am goes flying pass us a 90mph. But what do you know quarter mile up the can am is dead in the mud while the honda chugging alone. I will say they are more fun to drive for the little time you will be able to drive it. Its going to be a headache. Constantly fixing this fixing that well you're ready to go 2 hours later in Polaris is a sitting duck. Me personally iam going for the one that comes from the best and largest engine company in the would. They know what there doing. They don't die there on the cheap side. Just buy a honda and modified it the right way. It will go thru anything any other will and save you wayl less iregret**

Logan McCarthy how does can-am do better with mud? they didn't even do anything to the suspension except shocks and bigger tires. Polaris put stiffer shocks, arched a-arms, more aggressive tires than can-am and did a rad relocate with snorkels that have an overall better flow than can-am's. I'd prefer the Polaris as it also has more ground clearance than the renegade by about an inch
@MickDrummer10007 жыл бұрын
Aaron LeBlanc Let me rephrase that. I am a huge Polaris fan. But I just feel like Polaris focuses more on utility (which I like) and can am focuses more on mud and sport. So yes, Polaris does do better with mud, but can am focuses more on mud and sport than Polaris does.

Brad Van go opposite. all the can-ams around here blow diffs at the sight of mud and Polaris is more reliable with a true diff lock, lower gears, about the same horsepower in the 850 and higher horsepower in the scrambler which is the rival to the renegade.

Sorry that comment junk, I own both an Outlander XMR and highlifter Ranger 1000. Can-Am does have Polaris on the looks. I have smoked my belt on the Can-Am trying to pull somebody out in Reverse. My Ranger has a reverse chain that thing's Bulletproof.

Brand new highlifters are wrecking front diffs before even SEEING the mud. Hell, one guy broke his backing out of the garage.
