Test Riding Waldameer's Rocket Blast: New Best Slide In Water World??

On Wednesday 6/14, I was honored to be invited by Waldameer to test out Waldameer's new water slide Rocket Blast. This is the largest attraction in Water World and consists of various turns, drops, and patented saucer turns. You will hear my thoughts of the ride, thoughts from some of my co-workers, and overall safety information before you take your first ride. I was also given exclusive permission to film the slide so two different POVs and various off-ride clips will be featured.

Looks great, wish proslide would build another awesome water coaster with like 7 drops instead of all of those saucer turns

I understand where your coming from with this. It's great that this slide has a decent sized drop but those saucer turns are the way of the future for Proslide. Tighter turns with a mini drop combines the best of both worlds but I see why newer water coasters should stick to traditional drops

First time ever at Waldameer in 2023. Thought the park is vastly overpriced but it does have 1 good coaster here. The waterpark is where the park shines, Been on 7 different water coasters and this by far at the top of my list and the only one i decided to ride more than once since i feel most of these try to be a bit more family friendly. Altho this still family friendly, The saucer turns turns up the intensity a bit which is why it's number 1 imo.

I can agree that the price is on the higher side for a family park this size but RF2 is the main reason people come here. I always love getting out of work early just to take a few laps on it. Rocket Blast was a pleasant surprise for me and it was my first ever water coaster. I'm glad you agree with this

It doesn't get old, even after riding it 51 times. Most definitely my favorite slide in the whole water park now. BOOST BOOST BOOST BOOST BOOST! I'm counting this as a credit ;)

Went on it 2 times today. People got stuck on it when I was in line and it took 30-50 minutes for them to fix it

It takes quite awhile for Rocket Blast to restart if a raft gets stuck and it's a complicated process. Glad you enjoyed it though :)

So those Orange and Yellow circular areas are pretty much pointless?

Yes, they are just for decoration. The raft does not travel down that section due to how the saucer turns work

Oh I did love it however during testing in this footage, it was about 55 degrees outside and it was freezing. The water also being cold did not help either
