93 here too, the old one actually is big enough that if they filled in the "scalextrix" rail I could drive my real British car around that as a test run. The Tron style one I hate

@@vernxen3498 you're joking. The old one was much better, actually looked like you were out on a road. New one makes it seem 'high tech' but we already have a lot of that. The 1st one went faster and rougher. A lot more bumpy. Like they had break test twice that went fast and break, but the 2nd one was 'icy conditions' and 'rainy conditions'. 1st one had suspension test going over actual rocks and bumps, 2nd one literally was just smooth.

I disagree. 1.0 fits the original educational theme of Epcot and had a lot of relevant information. 2.0 is a soul-less sci-fi ride with no educational components. Of course now IPCOT is turning away from edutainment and is loading the parks with their intellectual properties.

-appearance fits the name cause its still a test track in a simulated test environment -it has a theme. See above. -the story that youre apart of is testing your concept cars in a test setting. Almost the same as the original. Only youre not a CTD anymore. -its more futuristic than the old one - the sun is not a neon light

I like the first one better than the newer one as well, but the new one isn’t bad. But last time I checked, there was no story for the first one except testing cars, which is exactly what you do in the second one as well so idk what point you’re trying to make. The newer one does have a theme and idk, it seems pretty futuristic to me.

@@JDaTopo actually, the first one HAD the story. maybe it wasn't obvious but, based on the theme, test track is supposed to let YOU feel what a "test dummy" should experience when a car is being tested. the story build up is actually brilliant upto the last segment where you would expect to be a "crash test dummy".

Personally, the old version has my heart. While I love the new color scheme and the ability to design your own car to "test", I feel that the ride lost a lot of its original character, and it's fun nature of the warehouse feel. The subtraction of the heat and cold tests really made the ride rather dull, and while the new technology is very cool, it sometimes lacks the ability to be fun to be a part of. I always enjoyed playing the role of the "test dummy" in the old test track with thee practical tests and warehouse feel. Not only that, but I really enjoyed how the old test track went through a lot of car safety, whereas the new test track deals mostly with specs. (I may be a little bit biased, however. My grandfather actually invented the airbag, and it felt that the space for the airbag in queue was a tribute to him and his colleagues who collaborated on the invention. It was a very neat thing for me personally to see)

I just think they could have changed the heat and cold tests to be more futuristic rather than doing away with them altogether. They could have done the same with the brake and suspension tests. I hope they bring it all back in a new and exciting way. It’s not really TEST Track without any tests.

@@needforspeedgamer7656he is right Before test track was like a actual testing track where you go in a actual GM auto Plant and testing laboratory You get to see how real cars would be tested I met someone who tested tesla cars At the tesla factory Sometimes they get to drive them through things and stuff The old one had spirit to it with the heat and cool chambers giving more feel to it The new one is just utter garbage It barley has anything to do with testing All you do is just throttle up and down And most of the rooms are empty During the supposted “ weather testing “ Part All there is is just lightning and other things on a screen from the wall But don’t get me wrong The que where you can make your own virtual car is pretty amazing If that was combined with the original It would have made it 10x better But I think that feature is broken now And thanks to the COVID 19 pemdemic which other people touch the console They decided to permanently remove it So I think the old one was definitely better Besides Gm OWNS Chevy

Which is why the area of the park the ride is in, is called "Future World". The ride was outdated before.. This fits the theme so much better.

I know right? I don't know what Disney was thinking when they designed the new version of test track. They should've kept part of the old version, but make it where you could design your own car. THAT would be way better than screwing up one of their best attractions.
