I can't even begin to tell a person how many times I've listened to this. I basically have it memorized.

Jesus did it. He asked for their names & everything. The demons became subject to the Apostles as well. Some people forget that when they criticize this work. The each have their own powers, demons of muteness, etc. This is all completely consistent with what we accept. Glad you can see that. ;)

This book really fills in the Gap of how the teachers of the law in the new testament knew the names of the demons when they accused Jesus. I think this has a lot of credit and would not snub my nose at it.

Well, Jesus himself declares that he was a greater than Solomon. That said, I like to think about it this way: There is a physical temple & a heavenly temple. The temple of God is our hearts, which are forged in the fires of trials & temptations & overcoming the devil & his snares. This parable thus is a lesser, physical representation of a higher, more spiritual temple built, not with hands, but by our overcoming our demons by God's Word & works, and through his sacrifice.

The temples of our hearts, therefore, are in effect, built by the demons, at least in the sense that without our patience being tested, we would lack that virtue, & God would not make His home in a heart that lacked virtue & refinement. I think we have to be careful to insert the word "spiritual" before all earthly terminology, so that we can recognize the 2 levels as we read them. The demons that build a physical temple are really thus building US up, who are His "spiritual" temples.

He even listened to the request of the Legion & granted that they be sent into the 2,000 pigs (the so-called Christian era, in other words.) There were kinds the Apostles could not cast out, etc. Some would cause seizures and throw people into fire & water, etc. Given this equilibrium, they would probably remain forever among us. Given that God has a strategy to deal with them means they can ultimately fill up their sins and face complete judgment & be dispensed with. This is the symbolism here.

Very interesting. I would like to know if anyone has said 'symptoms' that these spirits claim to cause and I would also like to know if any of the 'cures' or remedies they say actually work. The Bible clearly states that we should test all spirits. We just need to remember who has the power/authority over all spirits, and that is Yeshua. Well, virtues & vices are opposite one another, right? Angels of light, angels of darkness; angels of truth, angels of falsehood. For every virtue there is a vice & vice versa, so to speak. Everything looks like it is in balance until we recognize God's strategy. In the New Testament, there were demons of muteness & blindness & all sorts of other things. Jesus also asked them their names, such as with Legion. There were different kinds of demons all throughout the gospels...

There is one word in every book that I came to despise decades ago. REVISED. I tried to read along with my copy and had to put it down. I think your copy is older, which is better. The older, the better. Just changing one word in the sentence gives a whole different meaning. My gut tells me there is much more missing from that book. NONETHELESS, without going into details, I can fully relate to this reading because of my experiences. I have 2 KJV Bibles only 2 years apart and I have found verses totally omitted from the from the latter that were in the one 2 years prior. A lot of people like to throw around the phrase, " The Devil is in the details." Using that as an excuse not to look. Well, that is the FIRST place I am going to look! You can't fight an enemy without details, and they are plastered everywhere, especially in the CHURCH, and that is clearly stated in the New Testament. I will not step foot in those places. But I digress. Thanks for the wonderful reading.
