And the pro tip spray hairspray on is very smooth surface like that silicone mat so it the plastic actually sticks to it when it melts and it doesn't pull across and not lay flat cuz it needs a slight rough surface stick to a hairspray gives it that slight rough surface for it to be able to stick to it and lay flat without moving on you so you can draw your designs

And practice the sticking with drawing in 2D and then making a 3D by attaching it by flipping on the flat surface you can make a cubes and rectangles and 3D letters that way it's very simple I'll teach you how to draw up in 3D space as well cuz you can bridge together your two pieces of block letters to make it a 3D letter

Mom's got it figured out daughter needs to learn from Mom Mom's got it going on I have only used mine for maybe an hour and I have it figured out how to use it properly hairspray is my biggest biggest helper with making stuff stick while you're pushing or pulling the plastic. And yes Mom you are right it is like welding I use my 3D pen all is well is too well together in my 3D printer pieces instead of gluing it I'll just weld it together that way I stay in my seams and my seams will look like it's non-existent after I put my stuff together for my 3D printer so I basically use mine to weld with and to create new parts on my 124 scale model cars or just the goof off I love my $19.99 one from Kohl's it works better than my $64 one
