I was following up the progress of this project since the time it was launched by the late President Magufuli. May he rest in peace. He is my role model in leadership. How I wish to have a such milestone in development of SGR in my Country DRC too. RESPECT to Tanzanian and Kenyan as well!!

I am Kenyan and I must congratulate Tanzania for a job well done. This is far much better than what we have in Kenya. Hope to be back in Tanzania to experience this first hand. It's been 14 years since I last visited Tanzania at a time that this project had probably not been conceived as it was during President Kikwete's presidency. It is evident that the late President Magufuli policies helped Tanzania by leaps and bounds within a short period of time and Madam Suluhu is just building on the foundation set by Magufuli.

There is no challenge there. Kenya opted for diesel because that is what would work best. The Kenya train is convertible to electruc. Kenya played safe since she did not want an electric train without adequate electricity to power it. Once the electricity supply is boosted, Kenya will convert to electricity. Of course, there will always be those who run their mouths baselessly.

South Africa, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Ghana and Now Tanzania are all upgrading their trains. Countries like Kenya, Angola and Namibia are doing great with excellent infrastructure in their capitals. Some African countries are developing and doing well while others are not.... Well done to those African countries that are gradually catching up with Europe. Keep it up guys!

@kriskros1592 you are so full of it . What do you expect from such a wild shot of hot air? What are you smoking pray? My comment questioned @masmj who seemed to imply that your reference to Tz being an economic giant in Africa was not right on the premise that Tz only has an electric train to show. Did that sound like yapping to you? And what is this about Nigeria and stuff? I'm not Nigerian. I'm Tanzanian born and raised.
