I am looking at buying a travel trailer soon (I turn 62 in 2024) and plan on retiring. Thank you for convincing me not to wait! The #Buetti looks like a great little generator that would be perfect for my new camper. I appreciate your enthusiasm and kindness.

Hi Tim, where is Ms. Tammy I miss seeing her, is she okay? Just wondering 😊
@joannemeadows49717 ай бұрын
He hasn't answered me, or anyone else that I can tell. I thought maybe after he got the camper all set up and ready, that Tammy would be joining him. I don't want intimate details, but, I think it's fair to let us know if "The Tim & Tammy Show" has been cancelled. Then, maybe he's working on getting the show back on the air.

274 watts input verses the 350 watt capable solar panel...that's like at 79% , so you're doing great with the charging Tim ! Crushing it !

Solar panels on average are 23 to 30 percent less. So ex. 100 watts would average peak sun 70 to 75 watts. Don’t connect your solar panel to the outside of rv without a charge controller, you will destroy your panel if you go over amp rating on camper solar outlet. Hope this helps Timmy boy! Crush it!

7 years ago I bought a big dually diesel pickup with the intention of doing something like what Tim is doing when I turned 62. Unfortunately, between Covid and life, I’m past 62 and still working full time. But! Thanks to people like Sarasota Tim, my interest in the RV thing is still there. So is the Dually. You may soon see me towing my own RV to a campsite near you.

Bob Wells of Cheap RV living speaks highly of Bluetti. I think he preferred it over the other popular one which is more expensive (I forget what it was called, something Jack, I think SolarJack?). I haven't experience with either one, yet.

I think that you should have your 2 large slides supported so that with your body weight added to them that they don't sag over time and you will need a repairman to pull them in.
@SarasotaTim7 ай бұрын
These are rack and pinion. They are about the best you can buy, and there is a crank handle for manual retraction should something ever happened to the motor. However, I will contact the dealer and ask that question about my bodyweight or being out for a long-term. Thank you, I will make a video on what I’ve gleaned. 😎
@viewmysunset71007 ай бұрын
Supporting your slides in a Rockwood product isn’t necessary at all. No tech would ever tell to support your slides. They engineer them to take their own weight and much more with no problem.

Tim I have a blueetty a small one and it can run ups mode. So any power source you plug into it charges the batteries you can run both sources at the same time. Moreover, you can draw from that plug as well. At the same time they call it u p s mode. What's great about it is if you have a power interruption. You would never even notice it. It is full time clean power for everything in your r v. It is very cool. I never thought much about it. Because I draw too much power but it would probably work for you. That other plug that you didn't know what's 4 is. For an expansion battery you can extend the battery.
@SarasotaTim7 ай бұрын
You are correct about the UPS mode I seen it in several KZfaq videos trying to learn what I could about this power station. However, I don’t think I’m going to have my camper plugged into 30 amp here at home and the power station at the same time how is that possible? I only have one 30 amp input to the camper? I know there’s a way, but it would be just as simple if power fails to simply unplug from shore, power and plug into the power station and be rolling again even though it’s not using the UPS feature. What do I need that for? Ha ha, when the lights go out, my camper is all 12 V refrigerator lights and everything continues to operate on my dual batteries upfront next to my propane tanks. Also my water heater and stove work on propane. However, to keep my batteries charged, I will simply unplug my 30 amp cable from the shore, power and plug it into the Bluetti to take over. 😎

My suitcase solar plugs right to my 25 FKS on the side of the R V , there should be a couple connectors with the solar panels for different applications . So I use my 190 watt on the roof along with my portable panels . All goes directly to batteries .
@SarasotaTim7 ай бұрын
None of the plugs in the suitcase solar panel from this Bluetti even come close to fitting in my 25FKBS. I’m sure there’s an adapter to be had that will marry the two together. I have 200 W on the roof charging my batteries. But I am also full-time here with shore power charging those batteries all the time even at night so I don’t even need Solar unless I’m Boondocking I think? 😎
@billhillegass9467 ай бұрын
@@SarasotaTim I’m sure the very first lead coming from the panel is not hard wired it should disconnect at that connector and plug into the trailer, yes as long as you have shore power you will not need solar, solar for off grid use only. Keep up the good work .
