Hi Rachel! Just love your words and the way u do it , keep it up. Device safety switches (interlock Switch) their use and limitations in chainsaw should be the next topic.

I grew up with plenty of people chopping wood not using any type of safety equipment. Your video has completely sold me on the idea that this may be a good product to invest in because I would be the on who would chop a limb off.

Great video! Thank you! I have added it to my list of things I show newby’s and others who want/need to up their safety game. One suggestion…helmet. Kickback happens and the bar can hit you in the head. This is an extra concern for me when cutting in a log pile like in the video…it is so easy to hit another log with the top end of of the saw. I also agree with the other user that it is much safer to tuck your long hair. A friend of mine recently had his very long beard get caught in a grinder…horrible accident…I can imagine long hair getting caught in a chainsaw. ;) In any case, I truly respect and appreciate your effort to put out safety videos. Young people respond better to a young person(vs. me!), so your video helps effectively ❤reach those audiences! I will be watching and recommending your other content and subscribing. You rock!

So would wearing two layers of these offer double the protection. The narrative of one layer not aiming to prevent the user being cut from a chainsaw isn’t exactly reassuring!

Now do it again but don’t just hover the bar over the chaps, go full throttle and drive it into the chaps just like would usually happen during a kickback. The chaps will still work (as long as they are good quality) but your testing will be more accurate instead of looking like you are trying to fudge the results.

@@AllySafety Except that is the whole point in testing things out to see how they protect in real world situations... Being worried about how the chaps end up should be the furthest thing from your mind when trying to show people how well a safety product works that could/should save their lives.

@@kenmcmurray4006 I think she was nervous running a chainsaw. She already cut them with scissors and fully intended to take the saw to them. Plus if that husq bit in it could pull her face first on to the log pile. My thoughts
