Hello: I tire of the rumor mill very quickly. Two years ago Vertex had a batch of pistons that had incorrect length intake skirts. They resolved the issue quickly and recalled the incorrect spec pistons. If one of the out of spec pistons is installed, there is a definite ticking/knocking noise. A customer sent me a video of an engine that exploded, but the author of that video provided very little information and didn't respond to comments. . That tells me he is hiding the truth about the issue. I'm going to make a video about this over-hyped subject because there is a lot more to it than I care to explain in an email or post. @@slaverace1 good deal! I have a 2023 300xc and when on my track i stay on the pipe. The rumors almost have me wanting to change piston but i will accept them as rumors. Sometimes us average joe’s cant help but get caught up in these things. Thanks!
