To test if you are about to buy FAKE ball shells, ask the store owner if it’s ok for you to cut the tape off a box of artillery shells without damaging the package, once you’ve done that, carefully take one of the ball shells out and press your thumb into the top part of the ball. If it dents, or shows any signs of give, it’s fake. Don’t buy them. Also, the shell with a low break at the end wasn’t a malfunction. We looked into it and found out the bottom of the tube had blown out from all the shells we’d been firing out of it. Whistle blower are GREAT shells!

Cody, I'm curious to see one of those fake shells cut open. If you have any left or find them again you should make a video of it! I want to see what they're hiding as I've never seen fake ball shells before. Fake cans yes, but never balls. Like why??

I loaded 3 racks this 4th with those crackling with some other random screaming ones and some canisters to offer some sound and variety in height and it turned out pretty cool 🤷🏼‍♂️

I swear fireworks has a mind of its own. If your vulnerabile and close to one thats about to shoot off..maybe your chancing it to light more shells or cakes or maybe even fix a tube because it was tilted......99% of the time the firework knows your close and it will defect and blow in the tube😭😭😭 happends to me all the time lol

Awesome video, One of my favorite triple breaks is Three's a charm by windmill one of the breaks is a salute. Only got them once but I really like the golden one or something like that it has Egyptian god on the Packaging

My man you've gotta do the sfx line of ball shells, some of the great american fireworks line. They will stand up against most ball shells. Better than all of these. 90% of them are 1.75 inch balls which fit the hdpe tubes better. But everyone I've shot has been symmetrical breaks and loud as hell. They dont keep up with 5 inch cans but great filler effects. I also recommend sfx showlines. At least give em a try.

Great video Cody, I liked the Red Apple gear as the breaks were more consistent. I'll stick to the Depth Alone Dilated Shells for my ball-shell type fix though, as I've never been disappointed by them.

What is the best lighter that you reccomend for lighting shells and cakes?

@Blake Taylor+ I use either a small Butane blow torch or the larger sized MAP/Pro Blow Torch made by Bernzomatic for my "Lighter" since that puts out a longer and hotter flame making it easier to light a few Reloadable Mortar Tubes/Cakes pretty much at the same time and your finger tips don't get burned when you use a small cigarette Lighter. Of course that's if I'm not using my Cobra Remote Firing System. The Cobra remote firing systems are awesome as they allow you to setup the show in advance and then you can also watch the show while you just have to press some buttons, unless you programed the Firing Module via your computer to fire your Cakes/Mortars at timed intervals you setup in advance. Then it's just press 1 button to start the show and sit back and watch the sky fill with breaks. Maybe a bit TMI, but hopefully it's helpful for you. Cheers Fellow Pyro!! ;)
