Kristina Koutour used jumbo straws when she tested this hack, it seemed like it was easier to cut/shape and work with. Idk if it would help. You guys are my two favorite nail channels 💙

Quick tip: After applying the straw, use a acidic primer preferably one that is sticky just on the straw, then use a base coat then cure it for 1min. After curing, it becomes extremely stick . Apply the acrylic and your good to go

i used to use straws as nail tips when i was too stingy to buy forms! it worked really well for me but I used compostable straws and they dissolved right into the acrylic it was great

Oh man you have so much patience! Btw with any plastic or soft foam, use hot glue. It'll bond very quickly (but don't use the low heat because it'll melt the plastic. Also i couldn't tell but did you use the big boba tea straws? I'm not sure I'd try this still with how hard of a time it gave you but it looks cute!

What are use is nano tape since it’s double-sided. I stick one side of the yellow tape to my nail. I peel off the top layer and just stick the straw to my nail and then I use nail polish to paint over my nails and also so they stick in hard which it works very well and you can literally make them what ever color you want you don’t have to make this. You don’t have to keep them the exact same color as this dress already are which I was following her steps during the video, and I just colored online with nail polish, and if you have nail stickers at home, you can literally just put on some nail stickers and it will look absolutely a durable.

Paper straws have cancerous coating so it don't fall apart when wet. Use plastic then give yourself some nails. Figure a way to reuse or discard instead of getting cancer

I have a question I know this is probably going to sound strange but I'm truly curious. Would it make a difference if you prepared your nails before you put the straw on verses after you put the straw on? Or would it have been more secure if he decided to put acrylic on the bottom have the nail to sealing straw for structure
