************************NOTES AND UPDATES, PLEASE READ************************** 1. I do not know why my eyebrows look so different from each other in this video. It literally looks like I filled one of them in with pencil and not the other. I am 95% sure that's not what happened but I don't know what did happen to make it this way. 2. UPDATE on L'Oréal Telescopic Lash: by the evening it had become so dry and crumbly that a piece crumbled off and got INTO MY EYE and it was a disaster. Will never wear again 3. I think that Makeup Forever has changed the packaging of their redness reducing primer-it used to look a lot more like the L'Oréal product that I reviewed in this video. Or at the very least there used to be some black on the packaging. Anyway when I looked it up I saw that the shape of the tube is currently the only similarity and maybe it's not telegraphing "dupe" as much as I thought. But I'll say this: the L'Oréal Prime Lab Redness Eraser is a SERVE of the highest order and I have not stopped using it since this video. And when I edited this, I was like "girl you don't even need more coverage, why are you going in with the blunder cover." Every day since then it's been Prime Lab and spot concealer only and I love it. Thank you for watching!

I’m a big drugstore makeup fan but I generally feel like the better dupes are the ones that aren’t as obvious. For example the L’Oréal lumi glotion is way better of a product than the Elf Halo Glow. Dupes are also better within parent companies for example L’Oréal has tons of dupes for Lancome

I agree with you on the Lumi Glow vs. the ELF Halo Glow for the CT Filter. It is often better to dupe the vibe of the product than it is to dupe the packaging.

The whole L’Oréal-Lancôme-Maybelline-NYX product parallels are WILD. I once had a Lancôme representative tell me the Maybelline fit me foundation is literally the same as the teint idole, and it’s been really hard for me to buy high end stuff ever since haha

“If you had a bowl full of that fenty lip gloss and you put the back of a spoon on top of it and lifted it up…” another iconic HLP metaphor for the books. Literally no other content creator is out here doing what you do, Hannah, and this is why we stan.

I really like how Amanda Z (goddesss that she is) speaks about drug store. They are just good products. They don't have to be attempting to 'dupe' something but have inherent specialness, as a stand alone appreciation. I think this is a much more interesting take that the 'id it a dupe' trope which feels quite stale at this point in beauty ville xx

Yes please do more drugstore dupe videos. Your reviews are so thorough they truly do help us make better purchasing decisions and knowing which drug store dupes are actually worth it is definitely a money saver. Edited to add a video request: I would love a video about how to identify undertones and how to pick out shades of product that match. I have so much redness that I honestly can't tell what undertone I have and I don't know how to pick the appropriate green color corrector or foundation as a result. I have wasted so much money trying shades that don't work for me.

I'm happy to see you giving the drug store a shot. I know for some, luxury is an experience. I can understand that, but I think many of us can relate more to just wanting to find good quality products whether they are drug store or high end products. It's nice to learn about fabulous drug store products. Especially from you, because you have such high standards and love high end makeup so much. Andrea Matiliano recently said Flowers liquid highlight is better than the wands from Charolette Tilbury. I ordered them as present for my cousin for her birthday.

The ELF Whoa Glow is a great dupe for the Supergoop Glow Screen and in fact, a better product IMO, especially for fair folks. They also have a great dupe for the Nars Audacious lipstick line. ELF coming for it, honestly. And I've heard (but not tried) that the new Revlon foundation is very similar to the new Saie one. I love the marriage of Investigative Hannah Reporting and drugstore prices. There are a lot of duds but also some real gems at the drug store.

So many brands served by not nearly as many labs. Dupes aren’t always obvious from packaging. Drug store so-called products can be so legit. One of my favs is Sephora gel concealer.. no one talks about it and it’s amazing on my 60 year old under eyes. On another note, I love Blunder Cover because I can sponge on sooo little here and there and the formula and match are skin like on me. It can also get makeuppy fast if I use more, or apply with a brush.. which ends up being great for stage. 😁😁😁

It's good to know the Sephora Gel Concealer is good! Have you ever tried the Ultra Creamy Shape Tape? I bought that because I was in Ulta & got overwhelmed about spending money & how few options there were for a hydrating concealer in my shade, but... It's pretty amazing. I'd love a cheaper option for when I run out, tho, hahahah. The Sephora foundations usually run too yellow or pink on me, but those concealers don't look too whack.

a great video would be a review of the brand Essence - it's a german makeup brand that's widely available and beloved in europe, their prices are extremely low but the quality is really high, and their mascaras in particular are extremely good. the only downside is the packaging, which is plain at best and ugly at worst 😅 i think it raises a good point, which is that sometimes the best performing makeup has ugly packaging, so it's not selling the fantasy but it works really well!!

I’m so excited for the L’Oréal green primer! I am pale, a redhead, and have rosacea so green color corrector is an absolute nonnegotiable in my routine. My favorite green color corrector was nyx until I saw you try the exa. Exa is absolutely perfect but I go through it ridiculously quickly! I’ve always wanted to try the fenty gloss bomb but still haven’t. I think maybelline lifter gloss is a close dupe for fenty. It feels really sturdy and moisturizing and has that gorgeous giant doe foot 🤩.

When this video started, my first thought was "her skin looks SO GOOD!" !! You are glowing !! We love when drugstore base products really pull through, and I'm going to have to pick up that green primer asap. I hate the feeling of a lot of makeup on my skin, so this seems like a great way to minimize the amount of foundation I usually use to cover my redness. I think the packaging also looks a lot like the Smashbox green cc primer as well?? It's just a little chunkier of a component.

Hannah, I'm so glad you like the L'Oreal color correcting primer. I love it and use it often with my skin tints or balms, you are spot on with your review. I do have oilier skin and don't mind that it isn't dewy or super 'nourishing' since the tints or balms usually add a little moisture. Sorry you didn't like the telescopic mascara, I really like the waterproof version for Summer.

A better fenty gloss bomb dupe is the maybelline lip glosses in the square tube. I feel like revolution often don't do good dupes, they can be very hit and miss. But brands that are more consistent (Elf, Loreal, Maybelline, Nyx, Bourjois and may others) are the brands that make the best dupes.

I had used the telescopic mascara about 6-7 years ago, and I remember really liking it at the time. Then I decided to repurchase it this year and omg I had SO MUCH flakiness at the end of the day, it made my under eyes look grayish when looking in the mirror. I used it for a few months because it was a pricey mascara for me, but I hated every time I worn it. Now I'm using Maybelline's sky high, and that one works way better for me.

Revolution, for me, shines in the cream bronzer, brow products, cream blush, and the IRL concealer. The strange thing about Revolution is that some of the products I really love, many people don’t care for (and vice versa). You’re a delight to watch and your descriptions are fantastic. I have never spent much money on any of my makeup. It just has always felt like such a gamble. I can’t justify to myself spending the high end prices on a product I could end up hating. But I gotta say, your description of the Fenti lip balm ….. hmmm. I’m tempted 😂 Lip products in particular are so hard for me to find. I can usually make all the other products work for me, but I have challenging lips. I have a drawer full of lip products that have disappointed me. I love a good drug store find. I’m very loyal to them once I find them. So, for me, since I have never bought any high end makeup ever, I’m not even interested in dupes per say, just in good products. I end up watching dupe videos just to learn about good inexpensive makeup lol. The primer is also tempting. The brand essence has some mascara that I have gotten a lot of wear out of. I don’t know if you have that brand there. It doesn’t irritate my eyes and does what it claims to do.

Come on ELF! I completely agree that they need a lighter shade in the halo glow! It's too dark for me too and I'm slightly darker than you like 1 shade maybe. Let's pray they come out with more! The CT actually matches me much much better unfortunately because it's so expensive! The Elf shades get dark soooo fast! I have the 3rd shade in it that I use as a bronzer! It's crazy how dark they are. I think we pale girls need to write to elf!

I'm just looking at wet 'n wild incognito full coverage concealer, and the shades look like you'd really like them. they're very desaturated, olivey, greigey. wonder if one could be a blush for you??

Hannah - I keep having this fantasy of you going to a shop that sells organic essential oils and I see you swatching the oils on your wrist, mixing the oils as you swatch them, etc.

These drugstore concealers are bangers for mature textured under eyes in my opinion and I highly recommend them: 1. Makeup revolution conceal and define concealer, 2. Makeup revolution illuminating under eye concealer with vitamin c (i wear shade Fair), and 3. Nyx bare with me concealer serum (I wear lightest shade) and a little goes a long way with the nyx one, I just aim for a half pump with that one. These are all so good, I have no use for the expensive kosas concealer anymore for under eyes. Only higher end ones I still like include the becca under eye corrector in pot and the glossier stretch concealer in pot.

If you want to try Makeup Revolution *good* products, here are my absolute "holy grail for longer than a year" favorites - I wear them almost if not every time I do my makeup, and I can't recommend them enough!: - Makeup Revolution Ultra Cream bronzer - I know you're not a huge fan of bronzers, but maybe a darker shade as an extravagant blush? Formula is so good, and the 'medium' shade is a perfect cooler tone with olive undertones. It will be too dark for you though... - Makeup Revolution Fast Base Blush - it's a cream stick blush and its soo creamy and dewy and blendable and starts of super sheer (the light shades!) but buildable. I love the schades 'baby' (super light warm nudey-pink) and 'Bare' (neutral pink) the most, I think you might like "Mauve' the best - it's not actually a mauve schade, but a warm nude-brown schade. Or you might like 'baby'? The brighter/darker shades are also really pretty, but they are really opaque and bright, which is actually good for darker skin-tones, i use the ''rose' and 'bloom' shades in the summer as an extremely bright pop. Honestly, I have stopped using any other cream blushes, these are all I need.. - their shadows are not bad, but I don't think they are anything special. The rest of the products I don't think I've tried recently. Love your videos so much!

Love some drugstore dupes I actually kinda like that you used an existing foundation. Sometimes when a product misbehaves it can be hard to pinpoint the issue if they’re all new.

Loved this! Sand would very much enjoy a part 2. Throwing in my suggestion to try the Palladio Beauty lip oil - it’s not really a color or packaging dupe, but it reminds me a lot of the Merit lip oil!

If you're going to do a whole video on makeup revolution don't come at it with the attitude that they're a "dupe brand". They have a huge product range and they've been so successful in a short amount of time by being the only brand making trendy makeup accessible on the British high street. When I was a teenager trends were dictated by what you could buy at boots and superdrug. Now people are being influenced by social media and can order a £50 eyeshadow palette on buy now pay later and get themselves into debt over a piece of makeup. Brands like makeup revolution are needed.

Lol I love your content so much, I am eagerly watching, even though this particular assortment of products happens to cover only things I don't use. Haha, you're helping me stick to my "replacements as needed only" rule... always helps to learn more about complexion products & whats available tho, finding my fave tinted moisturizers has been a lot of work, and one shows signs that a rebrand, reformulation, or discontinuation is in the works.

I think you might like Tarte Maracuja Oil Glow Skin Tint. It has good coverage. It really brings life to my very dry skin. Love the glow and it keeps my skin from drying out, but it could work for normal skin as well. I'm fair to light and use the Fair Light Neutral.

I was considering that L'oreal green primer but I saw den alcohol in the in the ingredients and i was worried it would make my sensitive dehydrated skin worse over time. I tried a sample of the makeup forever and liked it.

Ooo, this was a really fun one! More of this please!! As for Revolution products... the only one I've ever used is the Blur Stick Bright primer. Not sure what its duping, but I like the formula. I think the stick itself is too wide though. ETA, I'm excited to try the L'Oreal color corrector. I have rosacea and your other videos have opened the world of green color correctors to me. I tried the Makeup Forever and liked what it did for me, but found that it really aggravated my skin and made my rosacea flare and the problem worse when it wasn't actively on my face. Plus, as you point out, it's way too pricey for what you get.

I’m interested in more reasonably priced brands, but I tend to stay in the ELF, NYX and Colorpop lane. Occasionally I try a drugstore eyeshadow or something that catches my eye, with mixed results. Ironically that green color corrector did recently catch my eye, and it’s in my makeup drawer, waiting for it’s debut! I was excited to see you try it and will get to doing so myself soon

I can't even imagine what the Revolution gloss smells like when I absolutely HATE with passion the smell of the Fenty one. It reminds me of the inside of a dusty 1998 Volkswagen Polo coupled with a sickly sweet vanilla car air freshener.
