Testing NEW SWIMCRAB Colour | "Shore Crab" Catches Everything

This was a fun one! we head out and find a Crab species on the headlands around SEQ and replicate it into the SWIMCRAB range for testing, the results in tough conditions from a big fresh water flush in the local systems were outstanding! So "Shore Crab" will be in the coming restock on Feb 2nd at www.holtproductions.com.au along with "Soldier Crab" and a big range of SWMPRWANS and SWIMMINNOWS.

great vid holty. here's a trick for catching shories, tie a bit of bait on a stone or lead and drop it into a pothole at high tide, go back a low and get as many as you want out of the pothole.

James Holt, you are a lure making scientist. Going down to the local rock platform to study the Shore Crabs, to get that colour and shading on yr swim crabs just right. That’s attention to detail, and it makes all the difference, between a good presentation and a great presentation.

I caught a rock cod on the soldier crab there cool design they also look like turtles no luck yet on the shore crab but on thos motor oil swimprawns i caught a couple fish on them.

go there on dead low tide and their is heaps of flatties hanging around between main beach and little cove

Unreal mate! Do you make your injection moulds? Or get them made somewhere else?

We don’t machine them ourselves but we designed all of our lures and the molds 👌

@@holtproductionsfish yeah nice, I make my own lures and moulds to but haven’t found anyone yet where I can mass produce them in oz, I’m not looking to sell them I just get sick of making them. You wouldn’t know any companies that do it? Any help in the right direction wouldn’t be appreciated. I mainly make Murray cod and yellow belly lures, their pretty unique lures and are fairly big, there’s some vids on my page of them and the size fish I chase.

Hi mate, thanks for the great vid. Can you explain what you mean by "got a swimcrab bite on"? Do you mean the dirty water conditions are good for them?

It always seems when we have warmer water and fish rubble or rocks we get more bites on crabs, we also see a lot more crabs migrating down river this time of year
