Today I'm testing a new internet service, Nomad Internet. This is a torture test, I'm way out in the desert and there are a ton of people also using cell phones and mobile hotspots. Let's see how it performs!

Hi Brad..so you don't need any home base for this...? And are you safe doing banking...? Do you use a VPN too?

You do not need a home base or a vpn. Banking is safe. I have never used a VPN.

GPS is a satellite based technology and yes satellite based internet exists. Starlink and hughesnet are satellite internet services

Several influencers have cut ties with this company because of the owner scams. There is lawsuits against him. Maybe things have been rectified but you may still want to look into it. I don’t know anyone that uses his services anymore.

It just cell service internet, might as well just use your phone as a 5g hotspot, and useless without cell service. Why wouldn't you just get starlink

I’m just testing their service. Starlink is $150/month. I might get that one day but right now, starlink feels like overkill for what I need

I think you are not being clear as this is not off grid but simply a hotspot that uses cell service. Like other comments said, you can do the same with your phone for free. There is no point on this service

You are incorrect. I have used my att phone as a hot spot. 1) you have to pay extra for tethering, it’s not “free” 2) They have hard data limits. Only phones and tablets have “unlimited data” I get throttled if I use more than 50gb of data. ATT sends me text messages telling my I went over and will be throttled. I mentioned this on the first 60 seconds of my video. Nomad internet has not throttling.

@@nomadbrad503 depends on your plan, but you can get unlimited in almost all carriers. My plan is unlimited with Google fi

I did not get paid for this video. They sent me a unit to test, I was sharing my experience . It seems to work pretty well. Not sure why there is so much hate for an internet hot spot
