I bought this entire line this week after coming across this video & I just want to say THANK YOU! I am not sure what the difference is between Kristin Ess and other CG Approved lines but this SAVED my CG Transition Phase. I realize that I totally, sound dramatic but it's such the truth. I bought everything from Devacurl (returned after the scandal got big), Not Your Mother's Curl Talk (liked it but wasn't outstanding), Curls Blueberry Bliss (loved the smell but my hair didn't respond), Sheamositure (too heavy and weighed my hair down), Aussie Miracle Curl (Ok but not all products are CG Approved), Giovanni (CG approved but stripped and dried my hair out bad), Maui Moisture (smelled great but that's about it).... but THIS... this is everything!! I am so shocked that as big of a community that the CG Method has...that this line isn't blowing up all over Social Media. Your video is literally the only one, that I could find reviewing this new line.

Just watched your video and am so glad I did! I literally just took the leap last night and decided to pick up the shampoo and conditioner to give it a try. Your review makes me feel that much more hopeful that my quest for the perfect CG routine has hit gold :) I now feel like I may be going back for the Leave-in Cream, Curl Jelly, and Co-Wash - just recently started using a co-wash from another line and definitely feel this is the way to go every other shampoo. I recently did a trial of LUS products, while I did really like the shampoo and conditioner, I wasn't a fan of the All-in-One. Plus, I want to be able to purchase my product readily and not on-line. Thank you for your great and promising review...I am so excited to use the product now! P.S. Your hair is identical to mine; in fact, you remind me much of myself 25+ years ago (I'm 51).

I have 3c/4a hair. I bought the entire line and have been using it for about a month now. Admittedly, I'm lucky and my curls seem to power through no matter what product I use or what condition my hair is, but I can tell when my hair is loving a product. Kristin Ess. I definitely like the line. I have every step. I will say, the packaging is great in theory, but the deep conditioner would not pump for me. I had to remove the top, and the leave in conditioner is in a spray bottle that doesn't always spritz for me. That being said, my hair has been enjoying the products and they've been doing well. My only complaint is the smell. It's got a very industrial smell and it LINGERS. Like, my hair doesn't stop smelling like it. Every part of the line smells exactly the same. From shampoo to curl defining products.

I fell in love with her brand when I used her original cowash (pink bottle) on bleached over-processed hair. It was literally the first and only time I liked my hair while it was bleached! That things was magic, but in the end, I realized it wasn't the best thing for my scalp. But my hair though!

Is the curl shampoo a creamy type or more standard gel type?

@1:30 you described your hair as coily/kinky curls & to me it seems a bit of the opposite. You have loose curls-wavy hair. It's very beautiful & I love the highlights. Thanks for the review, I'll be trying the products later today when I wash my hair, hope they work out for me :)

Disclaimer: the shampoo has high sodium olefin sulfonate which may irritate some people with sensitive scalps/skin and cause a reaction. HOWEVER this worked great on my wavy low porosity hair because the conditioner is a little heavier. Thanks for the review!!

Hey thanks for this video! I started using this line a couple months ago and my hair was def. smoother. I have never used co-wash. Do you recommend it? I wash my hair every two days but It’s drying my hair. But if I don’t do that, my scalp starts drying and gets itchy. Do you think the co-wash can help with this?

I've been using Kristin Ess micellular shampoo and signature conditioner and noticed my hair has started creating a curl which I haven't seen since I was in middle school... I'll keep using those products of hers, but I want to know more about the mask? I feel like I missed the purpose of the hair mask. I'm new to this and trying to find products to help my natural curl come out.

what is a co-wash? I have curly hair but I have never used it?? I damaged my curls with heat tools and started my repair journey in 2021!
