@@danielmedhurst5737 well it seems that @Jaco Jonker was correct about that gear, my 8000 is in for repairs as the gear has packed up, also pretty pricey to repair, not sure if I will invest in another Big Boss. Maybe I just had my share of bad luck with it. But everyone entitled to their own opinion, I'm just giving my experience with it. 🤙🏻🎣

Hi Shaun, thank you, I'm glad you enjoy watching my videos. Much appreciated. It all depends on the thickness of the braid. Different brands also make a difference. 300m should be more than enough depending on the thickness, also, do not fill up to the top, keep some space open. 🎣🎣🤙🏻

Hi there, 8000 is a good reel, 6000 not bad either but depends on what you are targeting. Best to get one that can take the punch if you targeting larger species🎣🎣🤙🏻

Raushan sieed Hi, it depends where you catch, 14ft is best for beach, 12ft for reefs, this is what works for me. If you looking at name brands, there are many different brands, best would be to visit your nearest fishing tackle store, in Helderberg area you can go to The Man Cave, Fishing Republic or Somerset Sport. I will be posting a video soon where I use a 12ft with my Big Boss 8000, this works for me. No specific name brand. Hope you come right. 🎣🤙🏻

Hi Krishen, well it gave a couple of good throws and packed up after a few months, cost R500 to repair and service and its still going strong. Not made for reefs but good for shore. Actually got me another reel from Rovex, costs 1/3 of the Big boss and going to test it this weekend so you will see it in one of the upcoming videos. 🎣🎣🤙🏻
