Watch as Porsche engineers rigorously test the all-new 2012 Carrera 911 in South Africa and the Arctic Circle. Our engineers took the car on the most demanding road trips imaginable while in the most punishing of climates. They pushed the test vehicles to operating extreme months before the cars global debut. Why? To guarantee that the seventh-generation 2012 Carrera 911 will perform to Porsche Standards on the German Autobahn, interstate highway in the U.S. and anywhere else a car's owner might be.

@EVILSPAWN1000 The Porsche winter testing grounds are in Arjeplog, Sweden. But in this video, they're testing them in Northern Canada. They have US license plates from Georgia, and you can see different types of American trucks in the background. But I definitely agree about the quality. They beat even Lexus on some tests, and the pre-2006 generation comes out on top of all quality charts that I've seen.

wow, what a car. sounds sweet, looks amazing and i'm sure that engine power wont disappoint me either. I'm not really a fan of the 911s optically, but that things look is so incredible, that i'd buy it without a 2nd thought if i could afford it. nice vid btw, wish i could try that thing out there ;)

The Arctic Circle one is in Canada. One of the engineers' Canada Goose jacket gives it away.

@marcosbressan Dident you notice they were driving on gravel roads? isent it possible to imagine that gravel roads also has some holes and cracks? But why should they actually do it? this is a sports car not a pickup truck...

So this is the 1st 7 speed manuan gearbox? wonder when exactly did porsche come up with it cos i was thinking exactly that quite some time ago, not saying it's my idea or something lol (not like anyone would listen to a 20 yr newbie) but nice to see it, think it's a brilliant idea, if they have 7 speed autoboxes then nothing wrong with a manual version. anyway great vid for a n awesome car :) really hope to drive one in the future

This new car is remarkable. Even reading about it. I will state that I myself am not a Porschephile but the 2012 Type 991 is a big deal IMO. There's a LOT more to it than just a makeover.
