Fish Creek Rips. Testing the Apollo Phantom v2 on the trails. The handle bars are creaking you can hear. Not good for 2400 dollar scooter. 2x1200 watt motors always in Sport Mode

That buzzing sound, definitely an Apollo Phantom. Such s great scooter. I haven't done trails with mine yet but good to know it handles trails well.

That buzzing sound coming from the atmospheric humming caused by the industrial district I live in. It's everywhere in the air like white noise. I wear earplugs most of time. I have noticed though the clicking I'm getting from scooter that Drives me crazy. I'd rather stick to pavement with high performance tires and a 100 kmph scooter and leave the trails to the mountain bikes. My last video I wipe out on a sandy trail. 🤧

Thanks for this! Been wanting to see the phantom on dirt trail. Looking to buy and also ride on road and trails. How does your throttle thumb feel after the trail?

No problems, I prefer over the standard pull. The upgrade for the V3 will be different and even better.

Hi. Im from Calgary as well. Spend most of my time on the reservoir but enjoy fish creek too. Can I ask where you bought your Apollo. Direct or through someone else?
@muscl5360 Жыл бұрын
Hi, I bought my v2 (soon to be v3) direct from Apollo. Shipped from Vancouver. Recieved in 4 days no damage in perfect condition.

@@muscl5360 Nice. Yes, Ive been watching all the vids on the v3. I might wait til that comes out... I just cant be fussed to do the mods myself. It looks great though. Any problems with yours so far?

Can I ask what the max mph is on it. There’s a guy selling his claiming it guys 55 on flats. Is this correct ? Cause if it is imma hop on that deal for sure

I've had my Phantom 2 reach 70 kph 65 kph is not a problem reaching. 😊

if youre not even going to go fast you should have it in mode 1 so the throttle is not jerky for low speed

Hi I’m looking to buy a phantom in Calgary but I’m so confused about the private vs shared laws / rules. I just want to ride one to work. See a guy ride one every morning. Just don’t want to make such a huge purchase and then be fined and not allowed to use it .. any insight would be awesome

Hi, I have never been pulled over or stopped in Calgary. I have over 3,000 km. You won't be pulled over. There are enough city paths you will not get hassled.

This happens to almost every Scooter.. Scooter Bob. Try and grease the stem I'm sure Apollo have vids up for stem creaks on what to check. I just been fixing my stem creak on the Vsett9 but gained a new noise from back suspension Jig-a-loo lubricant spray is the best but if you can't get that the next best is G85 lubricant spray. (make sure you remove the dirt from the areas before you apply the spray/lubricant or you won't solve anything especially the stem and suspension)
@MuscleSet2 жыл бұрын
For sure, I love the vsett. Haven't heard any complaints about Apollo Phantom having stem creaks at least reviews I read but your right and did spray stem with a 3 in1 lithium grease. I was going to buy Jig-a-loo and will next time. I still think I hear it a bit and might be handlebars.

I like everything about this scooter except the range and for that price point of $2,399. For that price i think its not correct In my opinion it should be more then 40 miles of range. Although then that the scooters looks very cool and the amount of watts it has 1400w x 2.
@muscl53602 жыл бұрын
Apollos claim is Phantom v2 has a 74 km range and I have easily achieved 65 km riding normally. I can ride 30 km and save 30 kms for back without range anxiety. That's only 1 and 3/4 hours riding time. It has 2×1200 watt motors. I agree with you looks cool and it is fast enough for trails. Your right again the price point is to expensive and I took it out on credit so add 300$ on to the $2400 and I'm idiot with very expensive limited scooter. Maybe I'm not so dumb if you look at there new model that will cost you almost 5000$. Crazy!! I would never pay that and it looks like a warehouse Pallet Jack. No thank you. Hehe. Thanks for the comment, sorry to go on.😔

@@muscl5360 are you talking about the Apollo Pro or the unreleased Phantom V3? I'm more hyped about the Phantom V3 just cause it might be cheaper then the apollo pro. I personally think the Phantom V3 is gonna look better then the apollo pro. I hope that phantom V3 has about 60 to 70 miles of range if so I might consider buying it.
@muscl53602 жыл бұрын
@@JulianRides yup, the Apollo pro. The Phantom v3 will hopefully be worth the upgrade. I'll wait till expected date of release they say will be late this summer.

@@muscl5360 I do hope they will implement flat proof tire sealant like the Wolf Warrior GT or like my blade GT. For now I might buy the blade 10 evo pro from kreo motors that's gonna be my first experience scooter with air suspension. Most of my scooters that I have have the coil suspension I Wana try air suspension see how it is. That blade 10 evo pro looks pretty good to me and the specs of it its pretty wicked for that good price on there website 🙃

i lived in Calgary from the mid to late 1980's. Fish Creek is a perfect place to ride that little scoot around. I doubt you could get away with that with a small 50cc combustible engine scooter, although that would also be fun. An electric stand-up scooter is quiet, portable, practical in fair weather, quiet & far less threatening to the general public. I guess that the fact that they are pretty much on par with bicycles as far as the law goes (not a motorized vehicle like a gas powered scooter that requires licensing & registration). Little do the powers that be know about the speed capabilities & road worthiness of modern electric scooters. You could take it on public transit to a destinations like this. A proper off-road version would make for a decent alternative to hiking in & out of a campsite. As it is, your Apollo street scoot seemed to do just fine on those trails. Perhaps a lower setting/riding mode for the really narrow trails would be less snappy/torquey & more manageable. Good on you. Cheers from Vancouver Island. PS: Any issues with dust in the electronic components or bearings afterward?
@muscl53602 жыл бұрын
No problems with dust and dirt and it seems Apollo scooter is pretty sealed against that, but wouldn't really know until I pull the deck plate off. Off-road tires are in order for trails but I will stick to the pavement as my prefered riding. I did buy new street tires and will replace old tires next year so carving the pavement wont be so slippery...I hope. Your right about less threatening when bicyclists are who you have to watch out for and people walking 🚷 against traffic on wrong side or direction of path. So many more crazy people out there now and paths have become more crowded and full of the uneducated not following rules of the pathways and unfortunately having a fast scooter you have to careful for dumb citizens not following rules. Love the scooter and have racked 2,000 km since April no flats or accidents. I'm full armored protected and putting all my gear on is half my fun looking like something from the future. Many compliments., not enough distance and if it went 100 kph and 100 kms far it would be perfect scooter. See what v3 brings if it ever comes out and if you can get it. Apollo customer service is also a nightmare since I bought scooter.

@muscl53602 жыл бұрын
ya it is, its called torque and you better hang on and why scooters are a blast. You can dial down the acceleration in Pussy-settings to 1. I have at 5. Different throttle and NEW LUDO controller in upgrade V3 will be AwESome.

@@muscl5360 are you still able to control speed well enough to ride slowly? Ex: can you keep it on the top gear setting and still cruise ok at a low speed? I scoot with people on rentals and want to know how easy it would be to maintain the slow speeds. I'm also still a little unclear on how the gears work. Does being in a lower gear affect the throttle feel at all? Or is it the same feel exactly as being in a higher gear until suddenly you hit the lower speed cap?
