Testing the K24 at Buttonwillow - RS Future Vlog #39

Kristian and I headed to Buttonwillow the day after tuning the NSX at SP Engineering. The car performed great on the dyno, and we wanted to get at least one test day in before heading to Global Time Attack at The Ridge. The day went as well as expected, and while we may not have set a fast lap, we were able to get great data and made some huge steps in reliability that we could see in the data.

Not sure if you covered this already but what are you revving at with the 2.4L and is the block built

We need 9k rpm because of our gearset. So that is what we rev it to. Unfortunately we had a failure that was likely due to rpm and are going back to a k20 until we can run a sequential that gives us the ratios we need. The block was built.

Finally went to the 24! I thought you were die hard square engines haha. Some awesome laps, and wow. Those dampers are really something. I've never seen a car take curbs so damn well. Congrats on the W at the ridge too

Thanks, Karl! I am pretty die hard on square engines. The K24 is one of the exceptions haha. The dampers are really impressive. My clubsports ate curbs well, but these do it even better, and there response at corner exit is unreal.

Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that.
