The original powder is definitely my go-to setting powder. On a side note, your curls are popping 😍 What did you use?

Talc is literally what makes makeup smooth and long lasting which is why its used heavily in the cosmetic industry. There is nothing(right now) that can replace or mimic Talcs cosmetic properties. Talc free powders always show more texture, not oil controlling nor long lasting on me. Thats what i learned wearing makeup for 10 years. I used to run to grab the new Talc/free natural powders and they all sucked. Lol, Talc is just the best ingredient at creating transfer proof, flawless makeup.... BUT I rarely wear makeup, so i obviously dont worry about the small amount of traces of talc i get. If you wear makeup everyday for years, talc free products would be better for daily use but there is no evidence that facial makeup containing talk cause issues

That’s crazy because I LOVE the new LM blurring talc free powder. It’s so good, I like it even better than the OG. It left me matte and blurred all night.

Talcum powder causes cancer because of the mining of the mineral is usually found with asbestos this is why Johnson and Johnson baby powders have received lawsuits and they settled

It seems as though the mew powder is more of a hydrating powder. I'll definitely be trying it out since I have dry skin.

I feel like the differences are so subtle that it’s a little nit picky but I understand preferring one over the other. I like the ultra blurring effect in the new one. Def something I noticed right away

I feel like the key with this powder is using products that are also blurring. I use porefessional pore filling primer and I also use a natural finish foundation and concealer and this powder blurs my skin SO well and keeps me matte without looking crusty, the OG makes me crusty sometimes. I don’t see any sparkle or shimmer like others say. In pics my face literally looks airbrushed.

I totally agree , it does have tiny shimmering things and emphasizes the hell out of my pores. Definitely not a blurring powder 😭

I like to just lightly dab a few flecks of powder on the concealer on my dry af face with a brush. Would I like this or is there a good drug store one for dry skin?

Black women do not need all that .....and especially not _young_ Black women with beautifully enriched natural skin tone, fantastic elasticity and smooth texture. This stuff is made for white women who age prematurely and who _need_ color and help with wrinkles and lines very early on. Black girls waste so much of their money, resources and time buying into the illusion that they need what’s sold. It’s not justified because you really don’t need it.

@@bellaapple2166 I think she’s referring to the loose setting powder…. Idk why I was thinking about the pressed powders from their different face palettes (I think because she said luminating)

@@DIYQUEENbyRienna Yea those in the face palettes are called ambient lighting powders. It's main purpose is too illuminate the skin. Where is the loose powder she's talking about is the only official setting powder.
