In a lot of East Asian and some Native American cultures red either attracts good spirits or wards off bad spirits. And there's a study out there that showed waitresses who wore red got tipped more, like 14-24% more by men (women tipped the same regardless of the color so let's not make any hasty assumptions about good or bad spirits here lol).

Maybe it depends on the generation? So if she’s in her 20’s, we’re looking at women around 40-60… But it all sounds silly to me anyway. Be interesting to see if my son grows up to be attracted to women who don’t wear coloured nails or makeup cos that’s how I roll haha 😎🤣

Men do like red. They always have gotten attention. Even when I was like in middle school. I think it speaks to the root chakra. It's about the foundation (root) of life and building a home. It's a color of passion and will to fight for desires. So I believe red nails are THE sexiest you can get. It's universal. Some say it's for loose women, but bump that!

So many men see my long black hair and ask me if I'll dress goth for them. Nope, I do it for myself to remember my teenage years but now I'm an adult with teenagers and a job that requires business casual. I was told that I dress like I'm secretly a witch by a male coworker who was very obviously flirting. I'm a goth because I personally love the style and aesthetic. I've been with my boyfriend for over 5 years - there definitely are men that would date an alternative woman long-term, but it's usually men that are more alternative themselves 💖

@@PlaywithDaisy what’s weird is that I’ve noticed people addressing me a little differently in a good way, but when I think about as to why- it’s because of me and how I’m feeling. I personally FEEL more confident with red nails, and that in turn has made me BE more confident. I oddly feel more comfortable in my skin, even though it’s just nail polish. So the red nails isn’t for my bf or anyone else- it’s for me, which in turn brings out a side of me I didn’t realize I had. ❤❤❤

My mother only wore Mauve or Nude polish. I love red polish and lipsticks! But i chew off my nails and peel the skin off my lips so I'm a walking example of what Anxiety looks like. 😅
