You wanted to know how the balloon did not pop when it was pushed against many needles but it popped when it was forced against one needle. Well the science behind it is that when you have one needle you are focusing all of your applied force directly onto one point causing a harsher amount of pressure on the specific point of the balloon which causes it to pop, whereas when you have many needles you are spreading your force evenly on every point dividing the applied force by how many needles you have so this is what causes it not to pop.

Hi Rug, The Ball-Pin trick works because as you add more pin, the surface area of pressure from the pins increase. As pressure and surface area inversely related (Pascal Theory), more surface area means less pressure on the balloon. As a result, the balloon did not pop when there were more pins on the table.

5:51 we are learning about pressure in physics at school and I think I can answer that. So, the formula of pressure is p=F/A. So, p is preassure, F is force and A is the surface. Let's take an example, one needle has a small amount of A (surface) causing the preassure to be bigger. If you increase that surface by throwing in more needles the A (surface) increases. Sorry if I had any typos or smth but I'm from Greece and we don't learn so much English 😄 anyways probably no one is going to see this😂 keep it up rug, thanks for that amazing content!!!

i know the sciience between the baloon and pins one .. when u keep a single pin the area of the pin is less so it pops but when u keep many pins the area is more so it doesnt pop when area is less pressure is more and when area is more pressure is less another experiment - a chair which is filled with pins like that doest hurt when u sit on it

The science behind the baloon nd the pin experiment is pressure...as pressure is inversely proportional to surface area....with one pin... due to less area...the pressure is high nd thus the balloon pops...whereas for balloon with many pins...creates a greater surface area..thus pressure is low...I hope it came in handy

1:33 exactly. This experiment can actually be put into terms of human anatomy. Like, if someone was stabbed. Yes, I know it's dark, but stay with me. The bag is the body, the water the blood, and the pencils knifes. Your immediate thought is to take the knife(the pencil) out. But that can actually increase the blood flow and increase chances of blood loss. It's better to keep the knife in as it stops MOST of the bleeding. You should still see a hospital as you're still bleeding, even with how slow it is, but the chances of blood loss are less than if you took the knife out. My aunts a nurse. The science behind the popping of the balloon is that Pressure increases with decrease in area (as in one pin) while pressure decreases with increase in area (as in many pins). Technically pressure is inversely proportional to area.

The science behind the thumb tacks not popping the balloon is "psi" pounds per square inch.. when you have just one thumb tack the entire weight of the balloon and the pressure you apply with your hand is concentrated on the one 📌 so when you have many 📌 📌 📌 📌 's it distributes the weight and pressure between each 📌 so each 📌 only holds a fraction of the weight so its less likely to puncture the balloon.

For the balloon needle it did not pop for multiple needles because of it was just one it would go without resistance but for multiple there is resistance keeping it from going far on the needle was spread out for example if you stepped on a single nail it would go in your foot but if you stepped on 50 a 100 it will not puncture your foot

The atmospheric pressure focuses on one point that makes the balloon pop but when we use many pins we make the pressure focus on all points reducing the pressure exerted by the pins and hence it does not pop. Hope it helps lol :)

Theres magnets for the apple charger cube one (inside the wall/doorframe) btw. And for the balloon and the pushpins one, you're creating a "bed of nails" so it's a flat surface which makes it not pop, there's actually beds of nails that you can sleep on and it wont harm you.

So to explain it in simple terms in order for a balloon to pop it needs to be a sharp point in a lot of pressure in one specific spot but if you have a lot of needles going in different spots and divide it among evenly and doesn’t go through

The force pressing the person onto a bed of nails is the weight of the individual. If a single nail had the entire weight of a person pressing on it, the pressure would be tremendous because the area over which the force is applied would be very small is the reason behind why we can lay on a nail bed and why balloons can be on a bunch of pins or whatever

The science behind that is it’s focusing one thumbtack into the balloon but when you have a bunch it’s distributing the force throughout all of the thumbtacks so it’s like if you stood on a piece of sharp Rock it would probably cut through your foot but if you stood on thousands of sharp rocks like your driveway or something it wouldn’t hurt as bad and it probably wouldn’t cut through your foot it’s kind of like when you use a magnifying glass to start a fire by focusing the sun if you don’t use a magnifying glass the sun will not start a fire get it
